John Granato: Raptors & Celtics favorites to land James Harden

Better not be getting Kemba back. Wall and Kemba backcourt would be terrible.

What has he ever broken?

 

Kemba's issue are his contract and current injury. But he is a very solid PG.

He clearly wouldn't be the only return. If the return is Brown and Kemba and a couple picks, that'd be pretty healthy, imo.

 

I'd love to involve Kemba in a 3 way trade but Jaylen Brown is a much better centerpiece than the Miami deal w/o Bam.

I think he could be done. That injury looks very very very bad. I could see him retiring in a few years.

 

If we have to give harden up, I wouldn’t mind Brown as part of the package. I like his style of play. But still plz no.

 

But that’s going to be two max guys in our back court. They are both ball dominant. Hopefully Kemba goes to a third team and we get more picks and assets for him

 

I know Celtics fans like to act like they’re too good for James Harden, but that team I’ve been seeing looks real anemic

no way in hell they’re beating BK or Miami with that current roster

Pretty sure Ainge won’t offer any more than Brown and young players/picks

If he’s offering for Harden he wants his depth and hold onto assets for further moves for a title run this year.

 

Who

 

Not excited about either of those packages, but I’m not surprised the Celtics are back in the mix. They absolutely looked outmatched against the Nets and Kemba wasn’t going to help with that massive blowout.

It honestly can’t happen unless we’re waiting until February. I can’t see Herro and Nunn being enough with Iggy/Olynek. Those lag two won’t net you valuable picks in a three team trade.

 

Harden + Tucker for Jaylen Brown, Grant Williams + Romeo Langford works salary wise. Boston can throw a pick in or two.
