What kind of high reward you are talking about for a player whose almost missed 2 seasons of games due to injuries?

And he is also playing a position that's no longer a priority in this league anymore.

The best scenario for Cousins will be he played beyond the expectation and somehow the Rockets can turn him into a second rounder (assuming he is tradable).

Where is the high reward coming from?

More of a retromod than a rebuild or retool.

low risk high reward like I said. High reward if he regains form. Same logic behind melo deal. Cousins is still a good player and the scouts know it. He is a stretch 5 and can pass. That’s not obsolete in this league.

It would be in Hardens best interest to say this and he didnt.

Shillman Fraudtita is a cheapskate. Just look at all the moves made since he took over a 65 win team. All of them to duck the luxury tax and save Shillman money and not to keep the Rockets in contention. It's just convenient all these "Harden is toxic" stories are leaking to deflect the attention off Shillman.

We're in the middle of a major rebuild - and for the better I believe...

I love him, but the Morey era got outta control... the org sold their soul to James Harden...

    gotta right the ship...

Wood, Wall, Boogie and a host of young talent...
a few carryovers that actually may do well with the change in environment - Ego, House...
plus whatever we get for James n PJ...

I think we're still a playoff team - post James Harden...

    lets get on with it!

The leaks are from the people that are gone and don’t benefit from deflection the attention off of Tilley. I thought the same, but so many sources all saying the same thing has to be confirmation. The odds part is the team direction seems like a net positive. —> I know it’s early and the season starts next week. Some of the cheapness seems to have merit and has been beneficial to the organization. My position as Rocket fan is wait and see. I am most impressed with most of the moves Stone has made. The biggest mistake the organization is made is a no compete clause for Morey. BUT my hope is (With Stone’s background) we get some competition from the league or 76 because of Morey’s (position) actions as he conspires with (our players) his “friends” against our team, we will see.

There won’t be anyone paying for a seat to watch an nba game probably at least until 2Q. Outside of the 2nd half of last season, this is probably as good a time as ever to trade your star player.
Might accelerate it instead of ‘wait and see’ until the all star break.

They totally do deflect off Tillman, have you not seen the way people are reacting to Harden. It totally puts the blame on him. None of the cheapness has had merit so far....besides hiring Stephen Silas.

that’s true, but I’m still shocked we were able to make that move happen. It seemed like we went into this offseason with as little flexibility as ever, and somehow Stone was able to make it one of the most impactful offseasons in the last decade.

I bet you want to meet Tilman face to face so you can tell him, "Beat it, crouton."

You cant retool around Harden, everyone wants to leave after 1 year with him. Its a toxic environment, didnt you read the reports? I told everyone this guy got a big head, but the scoring titles is all that matter to people.
