Yeah, I don’t think he has star potential. But I think he could be a strong Robin (same as Simmons imo) and at minimum if he doesn’t he’s a great shooter and as we’ve seen this past off season, they get paid.
Agree to disagree. No matter what happens I’m rooting for success but Simmons would be my clear choice. If I couldn’t get Simmons + more , I wouldn’t trade Harden yet.

What would Iguodala or Olynyk be worth to another team? Or even possibly Nunn? If trading with Miami, it would be good to maximise asset return. Those 3 are all expiring, who might be looking to clear space later in the year? We will never get fair value in return, just as many picks/ talents as possible.
Patience is a virtue. If they don’t see a deal they love, they should stand pat until the right deal comes along. This league, rosters, and players change constantly. Next week Dame or Luka could be wanting out, hold your trade chips until they are most valuable.
Nothing new about it. Pistons managed 2 finals appearances and 1 ring doing it that way. Raptors pretty much built a team ready for a superstar, added one, and won a ring. Not likely repeatable in either case, but not impossible. Either way, we'll be fine.
I don't recall AD being a MVP, or taking the Pelicans to the western conference finals, or Being Healthy .. Before that trade
Piston did it 15-16 years ago. Raptors didn't do team play, they literally add a superstar. What we are doing is giving up our superstar and hoping a bunch of role players can take on the lakers. Let’s wait longer. We should at least wait till the trade deadline. Yea we know all this will be noise that might affect the team. Still with all the noise the team has play well even if it’s preseason and not everyone has play together yet. We should wait because we might see the heat or Philly struggling or not playing well. If that happens they will give more than what they are offering right now. I don’t see Harden’s value lowering more than it has. With the article, the way he demanded the trade and all the partying and missing training it can’t get any worse. It can go up if we play well and if the other teams struggle. I can’t see this team not playing well, Harden even when unhappy, even when he is hangover plays well. He loves to play basketball ofc he will play well. So far Miami and Philly haven’t impressed me much. And if the article about Ben is right we can get way more than what Morey is offering. It could just be a smoke screen to give as little as possible. I feel like Morey leaked a bunch of rumors or maybe the article by Tim was part of Morey’s plan to lower Harden’s value. Who knows but Ben and Embiid don’t seem that happy playing together. In another note I feel for Harden it would be best if he was traded to Miami since it’s more likely they go farther than Philly. I don’t trust Embiid he still acts up and add Harden that would just be a mess.
You also dont recall AD having good enough talent around him in NO for any of that to happen. Once again, james is 31. You all just keep ignoring that and pretending other stars over 30 get traded for more. They most certainly do not.
