Better expect the Republicans to turn into deficit hawks again now that Trump will be gone. The national debt will easily be the most pressing issue facing the American people for the next 4 years.
Tax cuts pay for themselves via economic growth dontcha know Because job creators.... Something something
Went shopping today at an outdoor outlet mall in Southern California. Business seems to be way down from this time last year. Lines outside some shops due to restrictions on # of customers inside. People are wearing masks and keeping their distance. One thing that I am sure is hitting the shops hard is a lack of Chinese tourists. Due to the price difference on certain brand name goods (Coach bags, Burberry products) between here and China, you often see visitors from China carrying a ton of such products. Not so this year.
Dude has been hella busy...shred incriminating evidence, raise 200 million in sucker money, sow seeds to franchise the coming insurrection. That GA reelection PAC a good model. Blackmail them for his blessing, then steal all their "funding". Molto bene
While so many Americans struggled financially through the pandemic, this was one of the republican throw ins...
Ahhhh. When democrats r in power. Republicans r always afflicted with debt-ja vu. We cant give money to those in need, u have to think of the DEFICIT!!!!! Regardless of what they stand for, I can never trust a party that can give tax cut to the wealthy but btch and moan to help the needy during a fking pandemic.
The different philosophies are really amazing to me. I have friends on both sides of the spectrum. I don't understand why individuals believe that Republicans have the best interest of American's at heart. They love helping corporations and the rich under the false idea that trickle down economics work and then they are successful at selling this idea to their followers, despite their followers having more benefits under democrats. I guess Republicans have successfully sold the idea of being god fearing christians. They've also sold the idea that you should not need the government even if your b**** ass is poor, unable to afford healthcare, struggling to make ends meet, etc. They associate a hard working American with someone that does not need government assistance and they made those who do seek government support as a bunch of lazy ass Americans that refuse to work. You have to hand it to Republicans, they do a great job at selling their message. They are also great at preventing individuals from being fully educated to avoid them learning too much and realizing how ****ed up the system is and how stacked against the American individual it is. I argued with a friend recently how I love the idea of capitalism and that it certainly has afforded me the opportunity to move up on the financial ladder, but holy **** it comes with a lot of greed for certain group individuals to benefit BIGLY. Imagine a corporation like Wal-Mart not paying decent wages to their workers, cutting their hours to avoid giving them benefits and ultimately these workers are subsidized by us, the taxpayers. Walmart and their shareholders get to laugh all the way to the ****ing bank while we are left with the tax burden of having to support their workers. It is bullshit. I don't know why we need to defend ultra wealthy billionaires and corporations. We certainly need a balance to keep them in this country, but the way we go about it (worshiping their every ****ing step and ****ing our city's and state's over in the process) it's ****ing stupid. Oh well.
Yet another major failure from trump... U.S. trade deficits continue to grow The U.S. trade and current account deficits are at their deepest level since 2008. Why it matters: America's underwater trade position was one of the defining complaints of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, and the Trump administration has spent the past four years waging trade wars in a futile or even counterproductive attempt to turn it around. By the numbers: America's trade deficit was $63 billion in October, according to the Census Bureau, while the broader current account was in deficit to the tune of $179 billion in the third quarter, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The big picture: The main reason for the weakness of the dollar is just that America is shipping a lot of money overseas to pay for goods and services from abroad. Meanwhile, the coronavirus has cratered demand from foreigners for everything from aircraft to American vacations. Even after the coronavirus recedes, however, the weak dollar is probably here to stay. The main thing that would reverse the trend would be rate hikes from the Federal Reserve, and Fed chair Jay Powell has made it clear that's not going to happen in the foreseeable future. The bottom line: The trade deficit is in many ways a sign of strength — an indication that the world is eager to sell us trillions of dollars worth of valuable goods and services, in return for nothing but greenbacks. But it still counts as a major policy failure for the Trump administration. https://www.axios.com/us-trade-deficits-continue-to-grow-ba953cd0-457f-48ef-84f3-f4f996353da0.html
Yet he had no problem backing trump the last 4 years of spending. ****ing bullshit. If he is so worried about deficits then why doesn’t he propose a pay cut for him and the rest of the senate. How many people during this pandemic took payouts or lost their jobs. He can go **** himself
