If you are Phili I don’t see why you wouldn’t include Ben for Harden. They couldn’t possibly want to pair those guys together right? Like Westbrook and Wall that’s a shitty pairing with Harden.

I can’t think of a realistic trade scenario where the team that ends up with Harden is definitively better than the Rockets with Harden. Maybe Jersey if Durant is back. Maybe Philly because Harden/Embiid can be great. Toronto makes no sense for Harden if the Rockets are taking back their best players. How much does he hate Tillman? I don’t think Harden is a moron but I’m not sure he’s thought this through that well.

Idk. Harden probably thinking regardless of how long it takes, or how many years he have left to give. His chance of winning a ring in different org is greater than with us.

Rockets owner talk a bunch of bs. Really reminds me of BoB a bunch of empty words, but same shtty effort. I have yet to see him go all in for a ring. Maybe James can sense that bs also. Although The way James is doing it isn't great though.

Philly fan will both worship James and ride his @$$.
And, yes ....they will be minus Ben + picks/players.

Does anybody think Denver could still be in play?

Could MPJ be the player we are targeting?

Perplexed that the Knicks are not in discussion because getting to the Playoffs would be winning a ship for the Knickerbockers.

They'll retire his number for it.

    'This contender' nuisance.

they aren’t in the conversation because outside of picks they don’t have anything to offer. An offer of Barrett and picks could be topped by pretty much any team in the league.

Obi Toppin and Mitchell Robinson could be serviceable.

Could be flipped in a 3 team deal for more picks.

Rockets expand discussions because they can’t get what they want from Philly or Miami. Sounds like they are stuck. James didn’t help the situation by showing up late and out of shape. Oh well, I’m excited to see how our new players perform.

The Knicks really don't have the players, i mean, Robinson has the potential to be the best DeAndre Jordan kind of center possible, but he's in foul trouble literally every game, plus he does have some issues in terms of personality, he fired multiple agent too...Knox is still very young but looks like an absolute bust, Barrett i don't know, he isn't as bad as Knox but to me he just looks like another low efficency big time chucker. Topping might be the best prospect they have but i'm not sure he's someone with that much value.

They do have interesting picks though, their own of course, and the Mavs picks which might non be bad as fillers. The problem i see here is, if they trade their picks to us right now, they could still potentially trade for another good player and pair him with Harden, and that would be bad for us cause it would make the pick in the next draft much less appealing, on the other hand, if we wait till the next draft and the Knicks get a top 3 pick, would they trade that for 32 years old Harden? I don't think so.

Yes and in the only matchup vs Philly with Simmons playing, Harden dropped a 44/11/11 triple double on them. 13/24 from the floor 6/12 on 3s. Elite offense trumps elite defense.

Harden averaged 30 points on over 46 percent shooting in that series. That's what the best perimeter defense you can imagine held him to.

    But what?

Go check Harden's numbers in the series.

    Game 1 - Dort didn't play - 12/22 shooting 37 pts, 11 reb, 3 ast

    Game 2 - 5/16 shooting 21 pts, 5 reb, 9 ast

    Game 3 - 12/27 shooting 38 pts, 7 reb, 8 ast

    Game 4 - 11/25 shooting 32 pts, 8 reb, 15 ast

    Game 5 - 11/15 shooting 31 pts, 2 reb, 5 ast

    Game 6 - 11/22 shooting 32 pts. 8 reb, 7 ast

    Game 7 - 4/15 shooting 17 pts, 3 reb, 9 ast

Yes Harden shot poorly in game 7 but it wasn't because of Dort. He went 1-10 on open or wide open shots in the game.

So Dort's the best Harden defender in the league and he gets lit up for 4 consecutive 30 pts games? Like I said, elite offense trumps elite defense.

Next round vs the Lakers Harden goes for just under 30 per game while shooting a ridiculous 67% TS%.

Did you watch last year's playoffs? Harden put up 5 30pts games vs OKC and averaged 30 against the Champion Lakers on elite efficiency (67% TS%).

    And lost, that's the point.

2018 we had an elite defense, which was the difference.
