JVG is consistently a defender of any and every NBA coach out there. He is a quality guy and he sticks up for his peers.

That is very true. But he isn't usually speaking about guys who JUST beat him out of a job.

If JVG was Harden's coach, he'd either get himself fired or Harden would've demanded a trade a long time ago.

Just look at the interview he had with T-Mac when he dropped 13 in 33, JVG was not impressed when they hit the lock room and was cussing everyone out for their poor play.

No use letting reality get in the way of a good story.

Not like anything he's dealt with? Did he forget about Steve Francis at the Superbowl?

I don't want JVG to coach anywhere. I hope he stays in the commentator booth. The only other place I hope he will be is what Nook is proposing, a leadership role without having to do the hands on things.

Steve wasn’t taking advantage. He was taking drugs. Slight difference.

Right because JVG was a smart man who preached "never ignore in victory what you would focus on in defeat."

Process > Results in life because process is what dictates future results.

If you play terrible but your star goes insane and does something that will never be done again, you SHOULD focus on the things that need fixing instead of saying "see, we don't have to worry because McGrady will bail us out!"

We've cut Chocobo about 7 times now, and you will see why later if he stays.

I agree with the last sentence of this post. However, part of parenting is holding your children accountable for their actions and bringing them up to understand that following through with their commitments is expected. Nobody forced Harden to sign a five-year, fully-guaranteed super max contract to stay in Houston, but once he made that decision, he needs to accept it until the organization mutually decides it’s time to part ways or he has the opportunity to become a free agent. I understand the situation has changed in recent years, but he has a guaranteed contract that he needs to follow through with as long as he remains in Houston. That means showing up to training camp on time (especially with a drastically shortened preseason and many new teammates and a new coaching staff he needs to get acclimated with) instead of partying in Las Vegas.

Every parent is different, that's why I just don't put a ton of stock on what his mom is saying. Some parents will tolerate every action their child takes, others won't and will call out the bullshit.

I mean, I'm not going to be mad at Harden for pulling what he did this training camp. I think every individual is allowed to make mistakes and not be perfect. We all sometimes act out in our own way when we are unhappy with our situation. It doesn't mean it's right, but I realize that our human emotions get the best of us sometimes. I've never acted out in my job in that way (I don't have that luxury), however, I have put less effort when I simply got burned out. I ended up quitting my job a few months after since it was time for me to change my situation.

I agree with you, that Harden should have gone about this a whole different way, but ultimately he is here and he is now participating with the team. There is no doubt in my mind that he will hoop and continue playing great, especially if he foresees himself being here at least another year. No matter what, I know he is a smart player and if he sees that he won't be traded, he will likely realize he can compete with this roster. As long as he continues being a good sport moving forward, I can look past this training camp hiccup.

Well said. Like you, as long as Harden is professional and gives his best for the remainder of his Rockets’ tenure, all will be forgiven about not showing up to training camp on time in my eyes.

Man I'm starting to think we should have kept Russel Westbrook and traded James Harden for John Wall.

keep Rubb is a crazy guy like Faried run to the rim to do slam dunk. He does not know how to organize the team to have smooth offence. It likes Anotony which will not give a lot of function

Should've signed Rudy Tomjanovich but he went to Minnesota.

Rudy Tomjanovich is Leadership at its best.
Charisma, Enthusiastic, understands players characterics quickly. Huge Loss in not bringing Rudy back.
