When your star player is unhappy and wants out of your organization. It rather ironic that we got to play the spurs twice during this while ordeal. It’s like the basketball gods are trying to warn us about what our fate could be if we botch this situation like Pops did with the whole Kawhi situation. He took a less than favorable package for one for the top 10 players in the league and not only did the spurs get worse but they also got older. And they still haven’t shown any signs of a recovery anytime soon. They’re old and slow with no youthful star to look forward to carry the franchise. There’s no hope for them on the roster at the moment. And the Spurs are suppose to be one of the most classy well run organizations in the association and that forced trade has set them back for the foreseeable future with no visible light at the end of the table.

Oh, so you are saying we should be like the old spurs and get a Duncan and Robinson all in one right now?

You're right. The "We're just like the Spurs" take

Spurs are pretty young. All their first round picks are playing in the rotation.

The Rockets are clearly not in any rush to trade Harden. So this is the take that probably isn't based on reality take.

Come on man, you weren’t bothered looking at the spurs tonight and this harden situation lingers over us until it’s concluded. I don’t want to become like them. All they’ve had to look forward to is Derrick White and Dejonte Murray, who don’t seem like franchise cornerstones. Maybe this rookie Vassell could resort some youthful hope but that remains to be seen. We could become like the spurs if we mishandle this situations

You mean where Harden is "injured" and doesn't want to come back and sits out the whole season?

Did you see him play tonight?

If they were in a hurry to trade him, Harden would be gone by now. It's not that hard to move a top 5 player in the league. The Rockets wanted to move WB, and they moved him pretty quickly.

No wonder you’re confused or frustrated. You don’t get the point of this thread. You read the title and took it literally.

No, I am saying there is no point to this thread. Just being honest.

But their rotation sucks. Lonnie Walker looks terrible, none of their young players can shoot, they don't have any one that even looks like a borderline all-star. Murray is a great defender but nothing more. A young team indeed, but their rebuild doesn't seem to be bearing much fruit

What we shouldn't do is exactly what the Spurs have been doing after Kawhi bolted...they should've traded Derozan, Aldridge and tank two years, maybe now they would've something like Morant and Wiseman on the roster instead of trash. Same thing could happen to us if we keep Wall and Cousins for two/three years. Hopefully the organization is smart enough to understand this.
