According to sources (my gut instinct) Rockets are leaking the Simmons rumors to force Boston's hand to trade Stone's primary target: Jaylen Brown.

Not without at LEAST 3 FRP and 2 swaps.

    Plus players: Simmons, Thybulle, Korkmaz

If Rockets could just be patient for a few months, we could also get 1 of Maxey, Reed and/or Anderson too.

Total leverage play by stone...now Simmons also knows he’s in trade talks. Morey will close this deal, hardens in Philly by time regular season starts imo

If that allows us to tank/rebuild properly without throwing away a year, i'd still do it, keep in mind those two/three picks we got for Rob and from the Pistons are ****. If a team like the Knicks (Wall should be really liked by Thibs, he's a good defender, vocal player...) are willing to trade for him, i'd do that, instantly opens up 40M in cap space, you also move Gordon and those 40M turn into 60M.

If the Rockets trade for Simmons, moving Wall by the deadline would be ideal, but they could wait until next offseason to let Wall recover more of his trade value.

How about Milton? Korkmaz is good but Milton is a better player i think.

Why dfuq should Jaylen Brown be a primary target?

Waiting for the story how the 6ers/Simmons trade fell apart due to the reluctance of Tilman trading Harden to Morey

i am not sold on brown. great guy and solid player, but i don't see him as a franchise player ever. and i would want 2 jaylen brown's in return for all-time great scorer and elite playmaker harden

Man, it’s like clockwork. ESPN’s McMahon with the hit pieces and the ensuing news cycle. One day later, offers amp up. Nba business bro.

Just a few hours ago, other teams were “skeptical” about Harden. Now:

Because he has potential to be great.

And he can shoot, which is something this team is fond of.

VanVleet can’t be traded right now because he just signed a new contract this offseason with the Raptors. If a deal went down now, it would be Siakam, either Powell or Anunoby and picks.

No way, PJ gets a separate FRP.

4 FRP if deal includes PJ.

    Stand strong, no hurry.

We can do this next season, no sweat.

Embiid and Harden with a bunch of shooters like Curry, Harris and green is a scary prospect for anyone.Honestly that team is as good as the Nets and Milwaukee.Probably only the Lakers will be a better overall team.

Conversely we get younger with stud elite playmaker and a great defender
