I've finally reached the point with James where I'll be glad when he's gone

    Right on.

After Biden was confirmed by the electoral college votes, Trump fans keep now said the only legal date that really counts is Jan 20.

I'm much more concerned with whether ferntits remains the owner, than whether Harden stays or goes.

I'd rather have Fertita own the team than have Harden be the GM/player

    I’m with you @Plowman

I’m a little tired of the, “I’m a vagrant off the street look.”

I would welcome a clean cut Ben Simmons even if it means less wins.

My worry is that after 2 weeks, Harden pulls an, “I need arthroscopic surgery to clean out my knee stunt.”
I can believe it because he looks so out of shape.

while those examples are true, this is just pessimistic. The Rockets are a pretty good organization in a good city with a lot of good pieces already. Considering that we should get a decent return for Harden, we should be able to quickly rebuild like we did after the Tmac/Yao era. Of course things CAN go terribly wrong, but the rockets aren’t the wolves or the kings. We’ve had plenty of elite talent in our history and while not on the level of the Lakers/Celtics/Heat, we’re right in the next tier.

Look ideally harden buys in. No wants him more than the Rockets. If he doesn’t, no point in damning our team. Hope for the best and see what happens.

I'm just looking forward to no longer being contenders so I can finally enjoy watching basketball peacefully, with no pressure. Game 7 really ruined it for me. The past two seasons have been stressful and sad knowing that was our only chance and it was unlikely we'd reach that point again.

I mean, right before Harden, we had a 15 year stretch where we won just 1 playoff series...15 years

it could easily take over a decade to get back to being a contender

I can’t say the Rockets are a good organization with Tilman Fertitta moving forward. This summer has been an absolute sh*t show. Things have literally gotten worse every single year that he’s been here.

We are mediocre now and after him. We might as well have a fresh start and trade him when we get adequate assets for him.

    He's not a top 20 player either.

You guys quickly forget this is a player that for 85% of his career was BAD defensively. Sure it's easy to say "but he's so so so good offensively", and that's true, which is what makes him an all time great, but then he's ultimately failed in the playoffs in key moments because of his unique offensive style.

And there are other guys out there that were dominant statistically and "struggle" at times to make top 20 all time. Like Moses is kind of hit or miss in that area. And he won 3 mvps and a championship.

Harden is in the 20-30 range all time...with a ring he moves into that 10-20 range

with a ring, he surpasses D-Wade for 3rd best SG of all time
