So it’s not Tilman. It’s been Harden all along.

People have been blaming Tilman for the Rockets dysfunction. It seems quite apparent now that it’s not Tilman. It’s Harden, and the rest of the organization that has been enabling a toxic culture long before Tilman owned the team. This had been going on while Leslie Alexander was the owner.

This could actually be good news. People have been worried about the franchise as they’ve been scapegoating all of these issues on the owner. And the owner could own the team for decades. As it turns out, it’s been Harden. This is good news for the franchise as a whole as Tilman may not be the bad guy many people here think he is.

Yup... and I suspect if we get decent value out of Harden and health... we could get as far as Harden took us but without the drama.

Hope we get a drama-free non-toxic All-NBA perennial MVP candidate ASAP, but this Harden guy is the main problem to the Rockets success!!!!

does Harden make Tilman annually trade assets and first round picks to get under the tax? no, Tilman still has a lot to prove as an owner. It's not wise to chase off one of the leagues best GM's either. Not a great track record so far. I think he has a lot of trust to earn.

It's easier to build new narratives than accept reality.

Harden has driven 3 HOFers away from this team, partied right after quitting on the team against San Antonio and never taken a penny less than the max during extensions.

When people show you who they are, believe them.

Why do you assume Tilman chased off Morey? Where did you get that from? It seems more likely that Morey left because he knew Harden wanted out. Morey could see the writing on the wall and left.

It's probably a healthy dose of both.

Yeah. That's already been reported: https://clutchpoints.com/rockets-ne...t-significant-reason-daryl-morey-left-sixers/

“Listen, I think your cause and effect is out of whack there,” MacMahon said on an ESPN podcast. “Daryl pulled the ripcord because he knew Harden was going to pull the ripcord. ‘You want to jump out of the plane? Not until I go first.'”

Nobody blamed Tilman for the team being dysfunctional. We blame him for being cheap. And he's cheap. That aint changing.

LOL I doubt that’s the case. Like all things truth is in the middle.
It’s not mutually exclusive, and in fact people have said all along it’s both harden and Tillman. The latter is a huge pos but if he gets any credit it’s for putting his foot down on harden. Let him rot, fine him etc, his fans can stfu and goto a new team

Les Alexander went into the tax once in his 25 year tenure as owner. And he barely dipped into it temporarily. Nobody criticizes him for that.

Yet people want to blame Tilman, a guy who has been owner only a couple years, for being cheap because he didn’t want to spend $30 million bucks for 1 year of Trevor Ariza or millions more for other fringe players.

Ah yes, lets get rid of our best player and sink back to the golden days of being a fringe playoff contender. can't wait for team play, mid range shots, and struggling for the 7/8th seed.

With this cheap ass of an owner, u think we are ever gonna replicate any success? Don't kid yourself if u think Harden was the problem of our championship aspiration.

No Tilman has created a toxic culture. It started with the b****ing and crying with the CP3 contract to other owners. He rubs his players and staff the wrong way. He doesn’t care about winning he cares about the bottom line and cutting expenses.

So can the Rockets hurry up and trade this horrible individual they're trying to paint then?

Why are you asking for a king's ransom for such a cancer?

You just made all of that up in your head, and you’re stating it like it’s fact.

It’s only been repeated numerous times on here that he was crying about the CP3 contract calling it the worst in the league etc. You can believe what you would like if it helps you feel better about Tilman.
