Its already clear James and John cant play together...

    james does not want to play off ball, and john CAN'T play off ball. we looked terrible with both of them on the floor.

    only when one or the other was in the game did we get some type of rhythm.

    Why should Harden give the ball up when he's better with the ball in the hands than Wall?

    THIS is why he wants out. The fit has never made sense.

    To be fair... Harden struggles playing with anyone else good.

    your turn my turn works for him.

    but since he won’t move off the ball there’s no offense that will work with any other star player that can create.

    maybe if this was the 80s/90s and the other star player was a big that posted up.

    agree but james is capable of playing off ball. wall can play one way so to maximize both you have to let john handle so he isnt completely useless out there.

    Just useless to play ISO 24/7 and be gassed by the end of the season. Harden is Iron man but you'd be kidding if you say he hasn't had his fair share of games where he looked gassed, especially in the playoffs.

    Who has he been paired with that was good that WASN'T a playmaking PG? Harden has never been surrounded by an ideal fit as a #2.

    I hate this about James Harden, he doesn’t play off ball basketball, he passes the ball and just stands still and watches, he doesn’t try to cut, he doesn’t try to lose his defender, he doesn’t make the extra pass *team basketball* he creates a stale offense. Steph Curry runs all over the place off ball along with many other great players.

    Hot take, but Harden has never looked great with another ball handler. It was good with Paul because Paul could run the bench while Harden is off. Paul always stood on the corner when Harden was on the court

    I'm hoping the same with Wall.

    In 2018, CP3 was at Pat Beverley usage when on-court with Harden. But the offense was beyond lethal.


    Maybe Harden goes back down to 2013-2015 usage when on court with Wall. Either way, there’s no way they won’t churn a good offense, we’re just getting nitpicky about how it’ll look.
