The whole point is Daryl was hated because he worked for Houston. Notice how he was considered the best GM in basketball seemingly overnight once he went to another team. It's the same with Harden - everyone hates him, hates his game, hates to watch his team play, etc...but if he went to the Clippers - it would be the opposite.

I speculate that at first he will likely have a low effort and evasive attitude, he will show up and play, but he will not be as dominant as he usually is and carry the team, but allow the team to carry him for a change to see if they are actually any good, and if things are not working out, someone gets injured, or the chemistry is not there, his attitude will deteriorate and then things will truly begin to be uncomfortable.....

If on the other hand things are going well, we are winning games, Wall is a star, Wood and Cousins are monsters, Gordon is back to his old self, the rookies are promising etc etc. Harden will slowly and quietly buy in and play as he usually does. There is an ego factor here as well, he is a superstar, and superstars get what they want, if he does ends up staying, he'll likely never come out to say he was wrong and he decided to stay, it will just happen, he will play well and the trade rumors will stop, and that will be that.

Untouchable? Kawhi? You're thinking of his skills and track record, not of his current situation. This team fell apart in last year's playoffs and it was revealed that the locker room was in chaos. Although PG13 had a worse playoffs, they team just gave him a max extension. Meanwhile, Kawhi could walk away from them after THIS season if he's unhappy. You can't tell me that if they're not in the top 6 WC teams by the trade deadline that they won't look to get something for him while they can, so they won't lose him for nothing a few months later.

Bucks are dumb to trade their entire future for Jrue Holiday when they could've traded the house for Harden.

That move is going to cost them Giannis leaving next off-season. We should keep Harden for another season and see what team wants to form a superteam with Giannis and then trade Harden to their conference rivals who will be desperate by then.

Unless Harden gets injured, his value won't differ much from right now to next off-season since we are already getting **** offers.

Well if he wants out yes, but I’m thinking if he wants out not sure Houston would be on his list. Probaly would want to the east coast contender Miami or Philly . I would think he would want to avoid the Lakers.

Yep I am pretty sure they now have buyer remorse given Harden can’t even fetch that return

How do you like all those consecutive winning seasons under Morey?

99% of all NBA fans wish they had it so bad.

    exactly

look at how quickly Philly scooped him up, and he had several suitors

Philly fans are ecstatic that they have Morey

Harden and Morey have their flaws, but they got some fans acting real spoiled

so many “fans” hating on Harden calling him a loser because he hasn’t won a title...meanwhile the Rockets had only won one 1st round series in 17 years before his 2015 MVP season

I saw a comment on here saying Harden will be remembered as another T-Mac...lmao, what a joke

I remember how Daryl was really good at his job. All GMs are like that, that's his job. He made trades to improve the team and for the most part it worked, that's why he had a job lined up as soon as he dipped out of here.

Im not. His good trades far outweighed his bad ones. And I was always comfortable with the direction we were going in because Daryl is smart. He did not make "a lot" of bad trades imo.

Absolutely silly when I saw that, the tmac comparison is so ridiculous... Like WTF, I mean the Playoff series wins alone have been great w/ Harden.

But even regular season... I am seeing Harden hold some franchise records for the Rockets as well as be on multiple lists for the entire franchise - https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/leaders_career.html

People really need a history lesson... Because as far as basketball is concerned - Harden is a legitimate hof player

Haha. “Ingrate”? I never said anything rude about the man. I just said he had his chance. Let someone else take a shot.

Daryl was a good GM. But he had over a decade to make it to the finals. Never did. He got the ball rolling by trading for Harden. But he never finished it off. So many trades. Got close once. And that was it.

Once again, I didn’t think he should be fired. But he quit on the Rockets and never got Harden the talent he needed. So I’m fine with it. It’s not like we lost Pat Riley.

From this point forward I suspect we'll see James' value climb significantly. The bidding war will be underways as he hits the court and starts playing.

    Harden is a guard.
