I disagree with your premise that the education system is the root of the problem and thus needs to be changed to fix the problem. Yes, there are areas that needs to be improved but that doesnt necessitate a total overhaul, talk less adopting an untested framework (as you have proposed).

It works for everyone else in the world, so the question is why is it not working for the US? if the output of similar systems are siginificantly different, the problem is not with the system, but with the inputs into the system.

The US population is literate but not well educated. A lot of graduates have been produced by a system that allows people to pass through the path of least resistance to a college degree, while the basic thinking faculties that should have been developed in the process are often found wanting. Add the arrogance living off historical success and a very high resistance to change, is why we currently have a labor force that is overpriced given what it offers. The US labor force has fallen behind for over a two decades and are only being propped up by H-1B and similar imported labor

The US society doesnt seem to appreciate what good education is, or they simply no longer know what it looks like. If you want to fix things, first step is the fixing orientation, perception and values of the society towards quality education.

@MojoMan it seems like your meme contradicts data. How is this possible. I thought memes and comics display objective truths of our reality.

You know basic economics 101 clearly shows one place having significantly more demand with those prices. Your data here is diametrically opposed to your narrative.
