i don't think silver is going to let them lose. really the only hope is that leroids or beta davis goes down w/ injury before we meet them in the playoffs

the Heat played the Lakers just as tough, and that was with Dragic and Bam injured

sure the Lakers are the main threat, but Harden on the Heat or Sixers is contending without question...either one will be at the top of the East

let’s not act like Harden’s only hope of contending this season is here in Houston because it’s simply not true

    Did not say that.

I said Houston Rockets only hope of contending is with James Harden.

    And that is absolutely true.

    I still have faith.

Lakers and all Laker fans feared the Rockets more than ANY other team, even with no player over 6'8 and with our 2nd best player gimpy and one dimensional.

With good reason because Rockets could and would make it rain from 3.

The 2nd team they feared in postseason was the Mavs.

    For obvious reason.

I didn’t say u said that, but others have which is what my original post was referring to

this is a quote from the 1st page of this very thread

“Harden's only chance to contend this season is in Houston.”

Then there’s another talking about how Philly with Harden would still be behind BK, Miami, Toronto, and Boston. Lol, are u kidding me?

Harden on any of the teams that covet him will make that team an immediate contender.

    Heat, 76ers, Nets, GSW

    Any team, including Rockets.

Regarding winning a ring... I'm pretty sure Harden doesn't care how he gets it. He just wants to win one. If this Rockets team puts in the work there's a good chance. There's always the trade deadline too.

    That'd be something.

LAL would load manage them like crazy to avoid that.

Lebron 45 games out of 72 played.
    Davis 40 games.

Talen Horton Tucker for 18 ppg.
    Schroeder 17 ppg
    Trezl 17 ppg

to be honest none of the publicized reasons for harden wanting out make any sense. he's known tilbitch is a cheapass and trump supporter for a couple years already. and the current roster is already better than last season. what we do know is that every team on his list of trade options is in the eastern conference. so i would not be surprised if he's also convinced rigged league will do everything in its power to make sure fakers are in the finals again

I don't see why Houston would say yes to the Heat if it doesn't include every last good young player they have.

Bam, Herro, the other guy I'm blanking on, 1sts and swaps. Like, that's what it takes to get a guy about to have his 6th MVP caliber season in a row. If the Heat can't handle that heat, then stop bringing it up because someone will trade us the moon if we're patient. Or like, trade Butler and your scraps here for Harden. Give us a star back.

He still has to play to keep himself fit so he is forced to play with Wall and Couscous for the time being.

Thing is he doesn't have time to build trust in Silas and Stone.

It takes at least one year to get to know each other's habits.

He rather builds trust somewhere else, or has a guy like Morey whom he knows.

He’s done here for sure. I’m getting more and more sick of it. I was hopeful that he’d change his mind and give this season a real shot. Now I just hope the Rockets are able to land what they want in a deal.

this is the best team he could play on this year, even if traded. * as long as they stay healthy cause they still got game for sure ( Wall/Cousins)*

No, he won't sadly. Do they play some games together? Sure they probably will. But Harden won't be engaged. He already torpedoed any chance of them starting the year on the same wavelength.

It seems Harden has made up his mind and so have I. I hope they open Toyota Center soon for a few fans, (lower bowl plenty of social distancing :D) I will PAY to get the chance to let Harden know how I feel about him before he leaves.

They definitely can be a interesting combo. I just want Wall to get a shot. Wall is the kind of player where motivation is king and can thrive in the prove yourself mentality

Let's say Harden and Wall (healthy Wall) - buy in. Go all in.
Where does that put us in the West?
