Fair point (I'm assuming the 2nd "gas" was meant to be "oil"). I wouldn't bet on a huge bounceback, but nobody knows what's going to happen post-pandemic when global demand picks back up. The days of large corporations trying to kill the EV industry are long gone, hell, they invest money into it.

Texas ranking 43rd in Education and 46th in Healthcare is great because all those businesses lack of paying taxes. Rich people get rich and poor people? ****'em.

If the topic at hand is above your intellectual grasp, I would rather you remain mute

The school funding fights are only about to get worse, and they've been bad for years.

It's also totally and completely unconscionable that Texas has repeatedly turned down federal Medicaid expansion funds. We're paying for it and getting nothing back, while people suffer, just so GOP politicians can make some sort of political point.

Who are those people? I know Hannity, and the next guy to the left is the Milwaukee Sheriff, yeah?

I have no idea who the Village Person and the Wilford Brimley Impersonator are, but now I need to know.

Oh, and I need to know what New Mexico has to do with any and/or all of this.

You are such an idiot and too stupid to refrain from putting it on full display.

Well I feel slightly stupid now, nothing new though. The 2 real pics are what got me. I am not a gamer type so...I actually read several of the comments on that tweet and nobody, I mean nobody, picked up on that. The New Mexicans were pissed, the hate at Texas was strong.

The hate of Texas is really strong on Clutchfans
because the majority of people have never been to Texas or are from Texas
Also it’s quite obvious there are non Rockets fans here
It’s not the old days where’s it just aggies vs Longhorns vs. trolls from rice university

Oh no, I'm not sure you understand the dislike bordering on hate that Coloradans and New Mexicans have for Texas. I can't blame them much though, we've owned half of the good parts of their states for 100 years or so, and those Rich Jackass Obnoxious Texans show up to vacation every year and act like we do, in fact, own it all. And they hate us for it. So much.

We have people here thinking Texans are poor people and dying to pack our bags to California.

When the real reality is the rich, middle, and poor people of California are moving to Texas because the ultra rich foreigners and ultra rich tech bros own the majority of it.

Didn't Governor Gavin Newson get to dine in at French Laundry when the rest of us have to settle for Bouchon or Spago?

I'll get to your other points, but first I have a question:

$800M of Austin residential property was purchased by foreign investors in 2019, the vast majority was from what country?

    Wrong!

The $800 million in sales volume from foreign buyers was 5% of all residential sales volume in the Austin-Round Rock region [Travis, Bastrop, Hayes, Williamson, Caldwell counties] from April 2019 to March 2020, according to the report. Nationally, the percent of sales from foreign buyers was 4%.

31% of foreign-born Central Texas buyers were from Mexico, followed by India (9%), China (7%), Australia (4%) and Canada (3%).
[Where did the other 46% come from?] International buyers were most likely to purchase property for a primary residence (62%) and in a suburban market (61%).
