This probably doesnt need its own thread but didnt know where else to put it. Iast offseason we had Bennett on the roster and by all accounts he was looking good.. until he got injured :/ Is there an update on this guy? Given our somewhat lack of size off the bench, given his reported improvements, especially from the perimeter, i would think he would he a good pick up, if healthy. I know this was a move made by the last FO but id much rather have his upside on the bench than someone like Clemmons.
This is the same FO team except without Morey. Rockets have rehabilitated many a couch player. I see nothing wrong with kicking tires.
People in here gotta calm down, it was just a question. I really thought Bennett could've done what Jeff Green did for us last year. People quickly forget they were scoffing at Mclemore along with Bennett, they were both off the trash heap. Training camp and preseason is exactly when you see if these guys have any NBA game. We gutted the team for Hardens dumb ideas and might lose Harden as well so I'm totally up for rolling the dice on unknowns.
I agree with the OP. Bennett looked really good. I’ve always been kinda fascinated by his potential, but it never seems to pan out.
I was under the impression that the injury he had last year was basically the final nail in the coffin for his NBA career. I don't know if he'll ever be fully healthy, much less reliably healthy.
