I hear what you're saying and don't want to push it further into the D&D. I'd just say it's not a slippery slope -- the slope has slipped, the ship has sailed. It's just obvious that race matters, sadly. What changed was the coach and the GM, not the owner or the identity of any rapper. Where I agree with you is on motives. We just don't know what James is thinking, not directly. Maybe he's worn out with the short break between seasons and just wants more rest. I hope this works out well for our team.

I feel you. Race is one thing and more than likely it’s always relevant but even if it’s not Harden has a great first year coach that has earned his respect. Silas has been very professional and mature during the process.

That is a very educated response and I respect everything you’re saying (I don’t like how you say pouting because your white coach leaves but I’m assuming that was your example of an appearance and not Harden’s thought process).
I just think accusations matter a lot to and making them on social media can be pretty damaging. I think if someone looks deep enough they would know Harden has pushed for coaches that are black (I’ve read reports for both Lue and Lucas) and the way SJax presents this comes off less about showing support to the black community and more about how Harden is not supportive of the black community and that’s just not fair.

great post, and yes I meant appearances. I agree w what you’re saying. The “attention economy” of social media causes a lot of harm.

JH has carried himself very professionally in his public statements. Like his underrated play, that gets overlooked.

Some people love to make everything about race. Give me a break.

This has absolutely nothing to do with race, James has just chosen an immature way to get out of Htown. He would've handled it this way no matter the coach.

I say its a slippery slope because there is black support on both sides. And Stephen Jackson himself picked between two sides. He picked between two black men. At a time that everyone has turned on James, you could argue he needs support himself right now. Add to the fact that you have a pro-Trump white owner in the mix who benefits the most if James complies and balls like he can and will. I easily could make the race argument the other way.

I think Silas is fine. I dont know a lot of people that think

I apologize about your psychology degree... i didn't know your degree of sensitivity. If you did.. you'd know that I was just projecting... nothing personal to you... or your ego. Im not jumping just because of Stephen J. If you look at my post history, i've been on Harden for being a jackass cause I actually thought he was upstanding person until this bullsh!t... and his fans are upset too... who have defended him all these years from media scrutiny. I take back what I said if it was any offense to you.

I still can't believe Harden gave Lil Baby $300,000 in birthday gifts -- that's just strange for a guy to do that for someone he hasn't known that long.

And during a pandemic where folks are losing jobs & homes. It's bad optics and really stupid.

This. Stephen Jackson says some stupid things. He didn't criticize Lebron for leaving Mike brown for Miami. Or leaving Ty Lue for LA. Harden is an easy target and has made himself more so of a target with his recent behavior. Even for knuckleheads like Stephen Jackson.
