Are you on James Harden's payroll?

Jesus, I've never seen someone rush to defend a beta minded primadonna as much as you. He literally can do no wrong to you.

He gonna get some real bad karma coming his way. It’s not only his employers he is disrespecting, it’s his fans too. Players come to Houston and they get the best trainers and treatment by the most part - careers get redirected here. *** you James harden. You might as well close your restaurant cause ain’t nobody trying to side with you except your leeches and your whores. Bye Felicia don’t get hurt.

They are edge cases, and what superstar have the Spurs lured to San Antonio? They lost Leonard...... and Duncan and Parker were drafted 20-25 years ago. How has Pop and the Spurs faired without having a superstar?

The issue is that the commissioners office and the owners have catered to the very best stars to such a degree that they can do anything short of prison and be welcomed back by 30 teams with arms wide open.

Also I read people around the league complaining about LeBron, Harden, Giannis and Anthony Davis as being overly self important and lacking humility. What the hell do you think happens when you take a boy at 12-13 years old and tell him he is special, and then by 18-19 they are millionaires and by 25 they are worth hundreds of millions of dollars and they are encouraged by their own teams to be treated differently? Yeah, Harden and almost every other single superstar thinks the rules don't apply to them, because they don't! James Harden is 30 years old and has earned close to a half billion dollars with only playing basketball and promoting shoes.......... all the fans praise players like Ariza and Tucker for their attitude, but those guys don't sell tickets or shoes.

Thunder beat writer on Russ in OKC once the trade to Houston became official

That makes me think about the larger issue of Westbrook with a new franchise. There’s an impression, some of it fair, that the Thunder catered to him too much, that too much of the team and franchise operated on his whims. In the three seasons that I’ve been here, certainly, Westbrook was allowed to dictate the team’s media policies in ways most players can’t. He effectively eliminated pregame locker room interviews by creating an atmosphere in which other players seemed uncomfortable doing them.

franchise players call the shots and get to do what they want...CF now wants to act all shocked and appalled because Harden got the same perks...

Really? Harden is going to have bad karma coming his way? Tell me, is that bad karma behind the half billion dollars he is worth as a 30 year old? Is it behind the fans in Houston or elsewhere that will cheer for him if he plays well? Is it behind the owner that is bad mouthing Harden behind his back but is basically begging him to stay on television?

So does the billionaire owner have bad karma too? He has bad mouthed all his former employees (MDA/Morey/WB and now Harden), so does he have a whack of the karma tree coming his way? I ask because he seems like he is doing okay to me. He lays off his employees but keeps his yacht and businesses and basketball team. Hell he even has a group of writers that will publish anything he says.

There is no bad Karma coming for Harden........ he still will play basketball, he will still have his family and friends and huge amounts of money and he will still be happy..... how has that karma tree treated LeBron Pampered James?

Everything I said can be substantiated.

If you are just frustrated that Harden doesn't want to be a Rocket right now I get it (I want him to remain a Rocket too).

However we don't need revisionist history slopped up on a plate by Tilman Fertitta.

Hmm... sounds familiar, it is almost like superstars in the NBA are catered to and have an incredible amount of power.

I also always find it funny that these stories come out AFTER a star player leaves..... I still remember the media depicting LBJ as a monster in Cleveland that made the entire team wait an hour at the runway, and how LBJ fired his coach and forced the owner to sign players and how HORRIBLE it was, yet every damn team in the league wanted him....... same stories came out of San Antonio after Leonard left..... same with Paul George, Russell Westbrook and Jimmy Butler........ now it is Harden's turn..... Living in Chicago I even heard about Dwayne Wade skipping and blowing off practices and deciding when he did and didn't play....... same with Derrick Rose...... he literally decided when he played right before tip off and just avoided showing up to practice for a week.

I understand NBA superstars get preferential treatment but at the same time tired to see them getting these special treatments without winning anything yet.....

Harden shows signs that he is a step above those other players in terms of being a primadonna

His Instagram party feeds during a pandemic should tell you enough. Usually players have some amount of self-awareness not do something so damaging to their reputation.

It doesn't help he doesn't have rings and changes through his star running mates like a revolving door. It doesn't help that he is famous for being the patreon saint of strip clubs. It doesn't help that his game revolves around manipulating defenders to draw contact. It doesn't help that he has been dogged as a last defender who only cares about offensive stats. It doesn't help that he is known for being the least reluctant off ball guard in NBA history and just wants to dribble spam on one spot of the hardwood for 20 seconds. It doesn't help that when a faks story of CP3 making fun of Harden's man boobs is credible to so many people because Harden can get excess fat on him and be chunkier than he needs to be.

Yes other players demand trades but many of them don't have that baggage going along with them.

This is just me daydreaming, but Harden is single and Westbrook is married with kids. I feel like catering to both would have been really difficult. If it were me, when I was single I would have needed leeway to party, hangover days, and cool transportation that would pick me up from anywhere at any time. Now that I'm married with kids, I would need practices to not interfere with my morning routine, cars with kid car seats, and a nanny on the pay roll, lol.
