I swear if Stone keeps getting these condom protected first round picks that turn into second rounders, I’ll be done with him.

We need a minimum 6 first rounders for Harden.

Correct, not close to making the playoffs. A lack of perimeter shooters, a lack of ball handlers, no spacing, and defensively weak.

I agree that he has some positive aspects to his game, but I can't see how you could expect to successful with him making that much money. The team instantly becomes mediocre and will be looking at a 3year wait to start a rebuild.

Herro definitely has that and the work ethic to go along with it. I much prefer that and Simmons with all his flaws both on and off the court

Simmons wants to be a celebrity more so than an actual NBA star.

I'd consider Herro to be junk as well in a sense. He's a decent role player that's over hyped in my opinion.

Also, i love how Perkins types the same way he speaks. Not my favorite analyst...

I am getting talked into Herro

I do not like Simmons because not only can he not shoot, he doesn’t even attempt to shoot, and I don’t think Klutch Sports will want him in Houston past his current contract...so far, I have been fixated on “what is the current best young player we can get back for Harden”

the point about cap flexibility and having Herro on his rookie deal which means at least around 7 or 8 more years of team control is a very good one

Can Herro become an actual star? I am not convinced of that yet. That’s my biggest holdup.

Get on the train Reek. Remember when I highlighted Tatum years back. Herro is getting some of that too now. Dude is a killer man. I've got a good sense of the type of players through the years that you have been a fan of. Herro checks those boxes imo

No team has a realistic package for Harden. Harden will likely be here until at least the deadline.

I think that about covers everything. In other words, nothing new.

A bunch of whining and "****" Harden blah blah posts.

If only Indianapolis had the nightlife i won't mind Brogdon, Oladipo and a couple 1sts for Harden

You can throw in PJ tucker and get back another piece to make the numbers work

Personal opinion here, but I think we've seen Herro's peak at this point. He's a good role player that I wouldn't mind having on the rockets, but you cant expect to be a competitive team in the playoffs with him as one of your top options. I don't care if we have control of him long term either, because that means nothing. We have control of Harden and look at where we're at. If forced to take a deal with Philly or Miami I'm taking Simmons, but I honestly hate both of those options.

Herro absolutely does not have star upside. He's a nice asset with a low floor but almost certainly will never make an All-NBA team.

If we had to make this trade at the deadine in Harden's last year Herro headlining a package with 2025 and 2027 lightly protected picks from Miami would be an adequate return. As-is that's nowhere close to enough now. You might think about it at the deadline this year, but it's still probably not enough.

The floor is a lot lower but I'd rather have Michael Porter Jr. because All-NBA potential is there.

Harden isn't getting traded until we get in the season and teams can find out what they have/need.
