Short of a championship? That’s THE WINNING PART. No, Harden isn’t a winning player. Neither were plenty of other great players that also failed at leading a team to a title. It’s extremely hard to do. Only like 20 folks have done it, ever.

Possibly but at the same time I doubt the Heat FO would give a damn if they could get a top 5 player for a mediocre package.

LOL Harden is a winning player. He is certainly good enough to lead a team to championships...... he had one in 2018 before Paul was hurt.

People say you can't win with Harden while simultaneously saying Damien Lillard is the greatest leader and clutch god in sports since Prime MJ

Rockets should not even answer the phone from a Milwaukee area code. Carry on...

He didn’t have one. He had a 3-2 lead and nothing in his history suggests that the extra win was automatic or that he wouldn’t fold.

He has a playoff history of playing worse and coming up short in critical moments. If he had a history of upping his play, especially in big moments, then he probably would have a ring and be a winner. If he went off in one those final two games vs GS then we could have a debate. He underperformed in both of them.

That would be like trading Kevin Martin for James Harden

If Giannis doesn’t sign his extension by the 22nd would the bucks pull the trigger on a Giannis for harden deal. Both player don’t have a no trade clause and if your the Bucks at least you would essentially get 2 more seasons with an mvp caliber player in harden other than just this season with Giannis
This would give the rockets this season to convince Giannis to re sign with them. I do believe the rockets have a better team (on paper) than the bucks. Also have a better market

His mom will think just any casual fan would out there at best. And considering it's his mom there's a bit of bias in there that has tunnel vision. She'll only look at things from 1 side exclusively and believe all you do is what harden is asking that's it. Nothing else matters. She has nothing on her resume to suggest she's qualified in things like this as far as the ins and outs and all that goes in when dealing as an agent and players in the professional world. Yeah when harden was obviously getting a max contract here, there's really not much for an agent to do. Welp things like this, yeah you do need one. This isn't in her lane.

no way you do this trade

giannis will leave after a year for LA
Would rather have a young player on a long contract

Don't Giannis and Harden hate each other already? This is getting silly.

First prize wins the best regular season record and an embarrassing second round playoff exit.

It doesn't really matter cause a trade with the Bucks isn't happening anyway, unless Giannis comes here and for some reason agrees to sign an extension so, yeah, it's not happening.

If the Heat won’t include Bam in the deal once he’s eligible to be traded, they can kick rocks. The fact they haven’t even offered Herro is a joke.

Also, the Rockets need to hold firm on their price and not sell Harden for a team’s sloppy seconds. I don’t care how many times Harden’s camp adds teams to his wish list. He either is a professional about the situation and suits up for the Rockets until he’s traded, or he can sit on the bench until a suitable deal is reached.

Unless Boston, Philadelphia, Miami or Toronto want to see a direct competitor in their conference land Harden, they’ll pony up a good package eventually. The Nuggets should also seriously consider parting with Jamal Murray and either Porter Jr or Will Barton for Harden. Harden and Jokic takes them to another level that potentially could lead to a championship. I’m not sure Murray and Jokic ever gets there.

Whatever we could get in a sign and trade in two years might be better than what the Bucks could offer now.

Also, if we're trading Harden now it has to be for a possible cornerstone or every single draft asset of a team that could drop off a cliff in a couple of years (i.e. Nets).

Herro + Aichuwa + the picks Miami still has left to trade might be good enough to seriously consider at the trade deadline, but is nowhere close to enough to trade now.
