I read that the best offer for Harden will be
Ben Simmons, Thybulle and 2021 and 2023 first round picks

According to league rules, 76ers are not allowed to trade 2024-2027 first round picks

According to Las Vegas wins totals betting line December 9
    Mavs 42.5 wins
    Jazz 41.5 wins
    Blazers 40.5 wins
    Suns 39.5 wins
    Warriors 36.5 wins
    Pelicans 35.5 wins - 9th seed
    Rockets 33.5 wins - 10th seed

    Let's look at last year

    Los Angeles Lakers
    LA Clippers
    Denver Nuggets
Houston Rockets --- REMOVE US FOR NOW
    Oklahoma City Thunder
    Utah Jazz
    Dallas Mavericks
    Portland Trail Blazers
    =====================

    That leaves one spot open
I could say 2 because The Thunder will be worse
    Blazers may be worse. . . .

Memphis Grizzlies--- Expected to be Better
Phoenix Suns--- Expected to be better
San Antonio Spurs --- Never Count them out

    Sacramento Kings
New Orleans Pelicans--- Expected to be better
    Minnesota Timberwolves
Golden State Warriors--- Expected to be better

Going to say again... The question isn't what can the Rockets do, the question is if can the players we have remain healthy. The Rockets can possibly make the playoffs without Simmons or Harden if everyone is in top shape.

    IMO

Pelicans trade Holiday for 3 unprotected picks and 2 swaps, Bledsoe and Hill.
    Trade $1 for $2

If Rockets trade Harden for Simmons and 2 first round picks
    Rockets Trade $1 for $0.75

trade Westbrook for Wall with Achilles injury and a lottery protected first round pick
    Rockets Trade $1 for $0.70

No and we shouldn't want to. If Harden leaves it's full on rebuild time. I wanna be rank 30 for 3 years process style. What's the point of getting Simmons if he'll just go to LA when his contract is up? Gotta rid the team of the true plague if we want to move on.

because they come off the Otto porter money with an expiring contract in Fournier. Teams that are not going to playoffs need to keep their cap money because the revenue they receive is limited.

they get 2 good stars and now Orlando has a 28 m expiring. Orlando and Chicago gain money benefits while still having really good players

Both teams are desperate to get into or higher in playoffs.

I believe the answer is a unequivocal yes if this trade for Harden happens.

    Philadelphia receives:
    Harden
    Fultz

    Orlando receives:
    Tobias Harris
    Eric Gordon
    1st rd pick(Philadelphia) 2025

    Rockets receive:
    Ben Simmons
    Aaron Gordon
    Terrance Ross
    Thybulle
    1st rd pick( Philadelphia) 2021
    1st rd pick (Philadelphia) 2023

Btw throw in On to Philly for good measure since he and Harden are boys and he allegedly wants out anyway.

IF we play our cards right, I want to speak another trade into existence because we have additional pieces outside of Harden we can move. We can go for Hield, Aaron Gordon, Otto Porter Jr or someone else of that caliber of which I'm forgetting at 4am. We can flip EGo and the picks we've gained in the offseason for a solid piece, and we need to be strong in our demands for Matisse Thybulle in the deal for Beard. He's the dealbreaker, imo. We saw what George and AD got, and Beard is the superior ball player. Give me Simmons, Thybulle, and 3 firsts.

Why? Is it specific to their future obligations? Can they adjust things to make 2024-2027 tradeable?
