Want to bet he doesn't have it? Odds are highly in his favor since he has had it already around 4 months ago or so he still has the antibodies. Bet on it. Also since he has already had it and knows he wasn't feeling too bad the first time having it again would almost be what he wants at this point. He clearly is not scared of getting it. If he gets it then it will be a valid excuse to draw out this drama he is already intentionally creating.
The thing I take from this is you are going to hurt your team this season by being dumb and ignoring protocol. It means a player is likely going to miss a game or two...or three, depending on the schedule. Looking at you Danuel House and who knows where Harden will be when the season starts.
Do we absolutely know that he had it? I know Russ did, but never heard a sure thing about Harden. Where's the proof?
This gives him time to watch how great this team is without him. Wood and Wall are about to put on a show. He'll have a change of heart when it's clear that he will be joining a contender full of people he's friends with. John Wall, Boogie Cousins, Ben McLemore, PJ Tucker, Danuel House, Gerald Green, Bruno Caboclo and Eric Gordon are all guys James has a relationship with. He's also friendly with Christian Wood as we heard in the press conference. He worked out with Mason Jones already. He's played pick up with KJ Martin. He's not going to be able to join a better team and he's not going to have as many people he's comfortable with anywhere else. John Lucas is still here too. These two games in Chicago are going to be played at playoff intensity. It's literally the final audition to make James buy back in. Whether or not he wanted Silas here, the Rockets are incredibly lucky to have landed him. He's better than any coach Harden has ever played for. Whether Harden finishes his career in Houston or gets a trade out of here, Silas will be involved with this franchise for longer. He's going to be an all timer.
They just want to punish him for being a jerk. If I were them, I would fake getting a bad sample so that I would have to do it twice every time.
This is a good argument. The only thing I can say about it is they play pickup ball all the time. We really cant use that.
