Fun in what sense? Cuz we won't be winning. I'd do this trade and the turn around and trade Simmons for boatloads of firsts. Maybe to the Pelicans or Thunder. If we trade Harden we have to bottom out to get our picks back from OKC. So might as well start a full rebuild.
We don't want to be good. We want our picks back. Honestly how good can a guy who can't shoot be in the new nba. Doubt he ever wins a ring. He definitely can't be the first option.
Maybe the Suns will offer Booker or Ayton for Harden, or the Wizards will offer Beal, then Harden can reunite with his old buddies
In seriousness though, I think Simmons is the best player who is (somewhat) available. Stone needs to create some leverage so that Morey will be forced to offer Simmons. Would Toronto offer Siakam for Harden? Or the Pelicans offer Ingram? I think it's going to take that sort of offer for Philly to break down and put Simmons on the table.
Not only can he not shoot but he also doesn't seem like he has the drive to be an all time great. Just watch the Kawhi game winner again. For someone who is elite defensively tell me what is he doing? This is game 7, everything is on the line. Where's the trap? Why he give up on the play.
