On the fence until he speaks. If he wants an extended offseason, then so be it. This is the shortest offseason in sports history with lockdowns looming as well. Let him get his fix.
I think people are lighting their hair on fire because they are so bored. Harden didn’t work out with Mason Jones in Houston and went out recruiting Cousins / Wall /Wood / Nerlens/ others (getting at least 3 out of ?6?) only to turn around and say “I’m out of here.” It’s training camp and he went to a birthday party of a celebrity he respects knowing he (Harden) is rich and can probably buy or obtain the best vaccine or meds for Covid-19 for himself or any of his teammates that end up getting sick because of his trip. All the best players get preferential treatment. LeBron, Kawhi, Paul George, Giannis, Kemba, Steph Curry, Durant.......all of them. Just the way it is. Now he is in quarantine.......will miss preseason games!! Oh my!, The sky is falling, how can our lives go on? __________________________ He will come in, sign his extension, lead the league in scoring.......and people will be faking a heart attack now for no reason.
I’m back... and it’s f*** James Harden from here on out or atleast until further notice. This is Houston, Texas. We are the Houston Rockets. We are not the Houston Hardens. We will continue to be the Houston Rockets when that diva gone.
Most of the responsible ppl are social distancing or at home, at their phones. Pretty much nothing to do other than some home office.
Don't care much for Tilman and I will always appreciate Hardens time as a Rocket. I support whatever the hell he calls what he is doing. It's a good lesson for a rookie GM and an amateur owner to learn about how to and how not to treat a superstar. With that said, I do feel for the players in training camp working their asses off and also for Coach Silas. Although, if Harden did indeed vouch for Silas, then why the hell has he (Silas) not established a personal relationship with Harden? I would of thought those guys would of been texting and talking over the short amount of period before training camp.
3rd option. Disappointing situation, but wait see. As long as he ends up playing or we get a massive haul for him I'll be fine.
I understand and most can’t afford that antibody stuff that the prez got when he had Covid......NBA players can. Harden makes $41M this season.....soon to be $50M per year.........party in the streets!!
No choosing on poll unless he chooses a path. Who knows what is going on with him, but either he can have a legacy, or a history that will be lost with fans.
Harden can go become a covid carrier for all I care and get his family sick since he and his friends don't believe in the pandemic. As long as we get a huge haul for him in return I'm fine with it but he clearly is trying to tank his value so he can get to the Nets. I do think Tilman was stupid not to pull the trigger earlier before all this drama started, back when many teams were interested to go into a bidding war but the Rockets front office kept telling teams they weren't trading Harden. If you tell your FO that you want out and they keep telling every team that calls to inquire about the trade, "NOPE we're not trading Harden", the only remaining choice is for Harden is to pull a Iggy/Butler type move and cause toxicity for the team until the owner has no choice but to trade him, probably for peanuts. I predicted this situation would happen weeks ago when we first heard that Westbrook wanted out. Even though reports were that Harden was committed I guessed he told management behind closed doors he wanted out too. The initial reports were only to keep his trade value high but ofcourse Tilman screwed it all up by refusing to even entertain offers. Now, other teams are all built and ready to go for the season so a blockbuster trade happening right where we get back actual worthy assets would be impossible. ps. Harden and other NBA stars outside of LeGM, would make horrible GMs.
There's tremendous money troubles in the world entertainment world period. The man and many others seem to not comprehend that they are lucky to make the money they make and have a job at all during these times.
****ed up take. I get that his family supports Harden, which is why this is your take, but still ****ed up. Really need to take a step back if City loyalty to sports causes you to have this sort of take. It's cool if you don't give a **** what I think by the way, not asking you to care, but I am hoping you at least evaluate your thoughts when a sport causes you this much anger. I think it's fair to say many of us are upset at Hardens behavior. I believe it's also fair to say that the majority of us don't condone him partying in a crowded room during a pandemic. But the anger doesn't spread to wishing bad on to Harden and others.
It's been two days, and he couldn't have practiced with the team anyway due to COVID-19 protocols. He's flexing to remind the organization he has leverage amd that he's pissed, but as long as he shows up at some point this week, we're cool. I'm not going to throw away eight years of his contributions to this franchise because of the last 48 hours. I've got my limits, though. If he holds out into the season, that's enough to turn my opinion of the man.
