    He also wanted Butler first.

    Before that he wanted KD.

He also wanted Ariza to be re-signed.

    What is your point?

Harden has player preferences, sometimes FO get them sometimes they don't.

40 million for 72 regular-season games. He will be nothing but a pain in the ass with the Rockets. The only option is to trade him or Tilman to sell the team. That won't happen. So trade Harden. It's like going thru a divorce. The sooner it's done the better it ends up.

The point is that Westbrook was an acquisition that Morey didn't want. Harden/Tillman forced Morey's hand.

Yes he did, and the GM told him it likely wouldn’t happen and Harden said “okay”... the OWNER is the one that really wanted Westbrook and pushed the trade through against the advice of his front office.

Well considering the fact that Daryl Morey has said that Harden wanted to add Westbrook to CP3 and Morey told him that wasn’t possible... doesn’t sound like he was insistent on CP3 being gone... then there was the fact that Harden was trying to get Butler to join him and CP3... the only person that really wanted CP3 gone was TF who kept complaining around the league about his contract and that he was hurt.

There is zero question Harden supported trading Paul for Westbrook.

I doubt it. This seems like Harden wanting his buddy and Harden being upset that CP3 dare question him slightly on some of his play style.

You can doubt it... but then you are doubting the GM and the owner and both have commented on it. The owner said he was the driving force behind the trade and the GM said he told Harden a trade for Westbrook was unlikely and Harden was okay with that.

So I don’t know what to tell you. There is no question that Harden supported trading Paul for Westbrook when asked, but his initial plan was to add Westbrook to Paul... and the person pushing the hardest for the deal was TF.

Your framing here is odd. Why would Morey tell Harden preemptively that a Westbrook trade wasn't unlikely unless if Harden asked Morey about it in the first place?

If Harden wants to play for the Nets, he needs to get on the phone with their GM and tell him to start making calls.

    Otherwise, let him sit.

His mom and I had a bit of an...exchange today on IG. She blocked me. Don't think she appreciated me pointing out her son wilts like fu**ing spinach in nearly every clutch playoff moment.

That's also odd. How the **** would Harden think the Rockets could obtain a guy who is like 2 seasons removed from a MVP season without trading CP3? There is no other asset the Rockets had that was worthy of a MVP level player.

Harden told Morey that Westbrook wanted out and wanted Westbrook added to Paul... he did the same with Butler.

Morey told Harden that a trade for Westbrook would have to involve Paul. Harden said he would support such a trade. Morey told Harden later that he didn’t think the Rockets would trade Paul for Westbrook. Harden (according to Morey) was fine with that, in other words a trade not happening.

TF however had been wanting to move Paul and his contract, he had complained it was the worst deal in the league. He instructed the Rockets GM to complete the trade against their suggestion not to do the trade.

I mean it seems like there is a rather fine line here between Harden inquiring and demanding here.

Paul was viewed as a NEGATIVE asset by the Thunder. They dealt Westbrook for the draft picks and because he asked for a trade.

I don’t think so. The owner said HE is the one that wanted it done and went against his basketball people.

Harden has a voice in the trade talks and signings but they don’t just do what he wants. If that was the case, Ariza would have been resigned and Tucker would have an extension.

Now if you want to argue Harden should have stood up for Paul and said he didn’t want Westbrook, that I can understand... but the success or failure of Westbrook is on TF.

Hmmm, very disappointing turn of events. The Front office, coaching staff, and players, especially Harden, needs to get their crap together and work this fiasco out now....before the NBA steps in. And the rest of the NBA teams need to nib **** out...got that Morey!
