The worst thing the franchise can do is respond to him, IMO. Harden knows where everyone is and what is expected of him. What are the options?
-Kiss is ass some more —> he is laughing at the brown lips already.
-fire him —> he is the best asset (only one of real value)
-Say something in the media that will be twisted and make the franchise look even worse
- fine him and make him set out
- do nothing and watch him make an ass of himself then welcome him back with open arm and all is forgiven
-move forward like he is not coming back and try to make the best out of this.
- just wait because all the options suck

Remember he knows where everything and everyone is. He action show he doesn’t care, at the moment.

 

Again this would be like Paul piece (I know harden wasn’t drafted by u) or close to it demanding a trade (pierce did apply pressure to ainge but ainge responded by getting kg and ray) but it’s such bad business imo and a terrible decision trying to convince harden by winning.

on the chance it doesn’t work and the odds are against you (and many other teams) and u fall short again u just killed your return even more. If he has “made up his mind the window is shut” don’t subject yourself to him having final say on if you guys are close enough or not.

Also we know Tilman is hands on... when Westbrook was playing well last year he was MORE than happy to take full credit for the trade and told us all about how his front office wasn’t sure but how ownership pushed it through.

Tilman isn’t always at the TC, as he travels and has his hands on many things, but he is in contact whenever money is involved. That doesn’t even get into his families involvement.

I wouldn’t even care except it is insulting. The Rockets have clearly operated differently since Tilman took over... lots of lies and deception to the media and fan base. Everything from “creative math” to “Ill pay the tax” to paying low rates for an assistant and personally getting involved with the MDA negotiations.

When things are great he wants full credit, when they are bad it suddenly is his front offices fault.

 

Yeah it's pretty ****ed up of them not to lend a hand to Silas. Stone is a rookie regarding the GM role. Tilly is an idiot for simply promoting him thinking he could get away with it. I have no doubt of Stones capabilities and been pleased with his moves, but he clearly needs to be in the media's presence right now responding for the team.
