I looked into y ark hadn't bought them, ark mentioned a competitor with similar tech at much lower multiple which they already own, suggesting trne valuation too high, so I looked at their competitor (xone)'s earnings call - analyst actually asked them about trne having a superior product that is faster than theirs, xone had to say something like those are just product claims, we'll see. Xone projected growth trajectory is also a lot slower. I can see ark changing their mind on TRNE.
When I bought TRNE, I had seen XONE and the only reason I didn't buy XONE was because it had already tripled by that time. As a matter of fact XONE hit its peak almost the exact day I bought TRNE. lol. Talk about lucky.
Thanks for sharing the deck. Will be looking to up my position this week. I like that no single customer makes up more than 5% of their revenue and they also have a healthy footprint in Asia. I wish they weren't operating at a loss the past 2 years however.
Stock markets are euphoric right now - you love to see it but damn, the impending rollercoaster down will be sure to cause some pain.
Not to sound elitist but the pedigree of TRNE's management and board looks more impressive than XONE. Also having the Chief Manufacturing Officer from Ford on TRNE's Board should be a huge advantage towards getting auto industry contracts. Also there's the Chamath factor. It is interesting that XONE hasn't really seen any pop like TRNE as I don't think it is a zero-sum game, but I guess you could hedge your bets and also buy some XONE stock. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I used to think of Roblox as a homeless man's Minecraft 8-10 years ago. I think I actually got pinged by a recruiter back then and didn't bother with an interview because I didn't see a ton of upside and thought their product was janky. 10 years later, Roblox is not just still around but also crushing it. They've proven that they could successfully pivot from desktop to mobile, which is difficult and many companies failed with that. I've seen them climb the top-grossing charts on iOS/Android over the years so they've definitely been doing something right with their product strategy. I'm hoping for an IPO valuation around $4-5B but it wouldn't be out of the question for them to get a valuation of $10B+ in this market. I'd probably sit out if it was the latter.
These were exactly my thoughts on Minecraft vs Roblox, when I saw Roblox I was like..... But you already play Minecraft?? I figured it was a fad and would be done.... Nope, haha, I remember helping a friend's son fix their family computer so they could get their fix...

JD health ipo in Hong Kong. Up 40% in first few hours. My napkin math says 2.6x price to sales, cash furnace, loses 50 cents in net income for every dollar of rev, high growth. Market leader with 30% market share. Considering teladoc is 34x p/s, looks decent. Bought a bit, but damn hkex fees are expensive. Not for swing trading. Ticker is 6618 I'll take a closer look later, this is my 10min evaluation. Welcome everyone to challenge the numbers in case I got it wrong.

I was watching CNBC a while ago and one of the guys was saying "It's very hard to lose money in this market. You have to be trying really hard." I tend to agree. I just hope I get out of some of this in time. lol.
what i learned from cnbc is that if it's a good jobs number, biz is strong, stocks will go up. if it's a bad jobs number, stimulus is coming, stocks will go up.
I've been waiting for this market to crash forever. I mean people are buying cruise/airline stocks like 1-2 years before they can even recover or be profitable. lol. That being said, how about that BA ?! Also just noticed FSLY has made a recovery. I'm not buying it, though, so it'll probably go to $200 shortly.
