What exactly is the protocol? If anyone knows. How many days until Harden is allowed to practice with the team?
It's more about leverage, the player has more of it. He is owed money, he has job security till his contract is up, they won't buy him out. Technically he could coast a season and would still collect his checks. They could lose either the player's trust, determination to give full effort, or trade value. At the end they could get a mediocre package for him. Not anything other than the Rox have more to lose than individual Harden. They already lost enough reputation.
harden hasn’t even shown up in houston as of right now. his employer could suspend him without pay and wait until a much better than mediocre offer or several of them are called in by league gm’s. again the rockets don’t have to do anything but sit back and wait
Damn shame man. Let me be clear, i have no problem with players doing whatever on their off time. But damn man at least report to camp homie. Last time I check you still cashing them checks from the Rockets organization.
Rox never had the cojones to tell Harden to play more off ball.... why now all of a sudden go against him? They'd likely blame Covid protocols and there is that. The Rockets were so good at keeping secrets surrounding Chris Paul's frustration and even Melo's departure, surely they are capable of not telling what's really going on. Rest depends on this year's version of Harden. Not convinced winning ships are his No 1 priority now.
At this point it is worker acting to the detriment of the company and if i was owner i would hardball that mf for loss of revenue. I would stop paying check immedatly
they've already had feigen reporting disinfo that he was coming to work out sunday evening, the longer he's out though they'll have to fess up that something's up. but again, what they tell the fans doesn't really matter. at the end of the day if an opposing team GM wants harden on their team they will have to pay thru their nose. butler and davis have recently shown this much
I think it is a semi insult to compare this newly assembled team to the best team in franchise history. A disservice to the Dream and the role players who worked harder on chemistry than anybody else to get to where they were. Even if that meant the Lakers injure both superstars and the Rockets stay healthy and overachieve the rest of the way.
