California used to be the Texas of the 70's-90s. Same thing with Ohio.... New Jersey.... New York..... Regions rise and fall over time. Older states get weighed down with bloat and the same will happen to Texas. I find all this California bashing to be anti American.

I 100 percent agree. I live in a state with lots of Californians coming in. I don’t get the hate. We have a poster here who said they would rather have illegals come into Texans than American citizens from California.

California is a big part of what this country is. They are Americans and to shun them only further divides us as a country. It further validated the us vs them mentality that is causing so many problems in our country.

    Nope, not Louisiana.

I'll also say that eastern OK is really pretty and Tulsa is a solid town.

I love when Texans that I know bash CA as a liberal, homeless, and gang infested hellhole, and then they post photos from their fancy lavish vacations in Tahoe, San Diego, Palm Springs and Santa Barbara.

California is the bellwether, how and where it goes America follows

I don’t have a problem with Californians moving to Texas. Texas has always drawn people from different parts of the country, and the world, for one reason or another. Heck, go back far enough, and almost everyone’s roots are from immigrants to Texas. That wouldn’t be true about Native Americans, of course, but the state never treated them fairly (not they are treated “fairly” anywhere in the country). Excepting the relative few on our couple of “postage stamp” reservations, the remainder are likely a very small percentage.

So yes, we are a state of immigrants, as is the vast majority of the country. My problem is that Austin and Central Texas is getting so damn crowded. So sure, go to Dallas or Houston, please!

Mea Culpa! Can’t find enough information to prove you wrong. The Texas comptroller clearly had his GOP hat on based on the figures he published.

What’s really steeped in irony? The Republican state government of Texas chose not to participate expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. As a result, they (we) left Six Billion Dollars in federal funds we qualified for under the act back in DC for other, more “intelligent” state governments to use for the benefit of their citizens in need. Can’t wait for Texas to turn Blue.

I think Cali has lost a little bit recently as mentioned before

I always thought Cali rappers were better than Houston rappers

    Well
If you live in Newport Beach in Kobe’s neighborhood you’ll be happier than living in Compton where you can famously point out famous rap song references
