Imagine praising a state that is dead last in the Union in percentage of residents with healthcare. Lovely stat.

Like I said before months back: Texas is like that landlord that renovates the asthetics of the outside for their property and the empty units for potentially new tenants while informing all the requests of the current tenants.

Texas is bad at producing their own human capital. The only thing going good for it is the public universities. The k-12 system is trash and heavily dependent on the quality of suburb you live in like Plano, Katy or Sugarland. If you don't live in those wealthy suburbs, you most likely are in a **** poorly funded k-12 system. Unfortunately most who post here seem to come from those more well off suburbs like myself and therefore are blinded by an idealized version of Texas.

Texas needs to solve it's problems. They are massive.

You can pretty much double your salary going to cali. If you make 200k here you can make about 350 there.

Cost of living in Cali is through the roof in comparison to Tx. That is your reason why....

They’ve been steadily ruining Austin and worst of all turning it into a sausage fest

    No one asked for this.

CALI transplants go home! Would rather have legal immigrants from sane places and illegal ones... no one wants a flood of morons from the West Coast who have no clue about economics. Plus Laker fans and GSW fans... nah I'm good partner.

The ones coming to vote blue should all be rounded up and shipped to Venezuala.

If Californian's are moving to Texas and buying mansions, what does that say about the states ability to make people richer?

Moral of the story, if you want to live the American dream, make your money in cali and retire in texas to avoid paying taxes.

Americans retiring in Southeast Asian countries is not a testament on how great those countries are.

    Send them to Oklahoma instead.

It's already changed real estate prices across the region , you could buy land at 2500-5k an acre about 6-7 years ago , now its 25k plus in some of these area's with the increased demand , much of that due to the people moving here from California.
The can sell the single lot home in CA and come to Texas and buy a bigger house on several acres and still have money left over.

This is great for developers and real estate brokers ....
