I was being facetious. :D But yeah, he's never going to have another triple-double year. I'm thinking more like 22/8/8 if he stays healthy.

Maybe, but there’s a good chance we would be facing a more-or-less similar situation (Especially in regards to Harden’s future) even if we had kept CP3.

Hmmmmmm I mean, in my opinion we would be in a better position to win last year and going forward. Not to mention Cp3 is an asset to us either way, wether in a rebuild or retooling. We would also probably have Covington and Wood on the roster.

    Buddy Heild?

That's way too much for a guy who I don't think is that much better than Gordon.

Lol you think Tillman can afford surf AND turf? Covington Wood, which sounds like a cool name from a Dan Brown novel, is an either or proposition with this regime.

He can shoot and moves off the ball. He is like a poor mans klay Thompson. With Harden and Wall we have enough ball handlers so we need to get elite shooters. Also given Silas wants more motion offense (off the ball movement) I think Hield fits.

Agree that the WB trade was so terrible, but ironically I think OKC trading Harden to us would have to be rated worse.
They broke up a potential dynasty at the time and got back one year of Kevin Martin, Steven Adams and Jeremy Lamb

Gordon can do the same and he is a much better defensive player.

Gordon is to inconsistent and is nowhere near the offensive player Hield is. Plus buddy is a lot younger

Heild has cracked scoring 20 ppg in only 1 season, he is not that great a finisher and he does not play defense.

Yes he is younger but IMO he does not move the needle that much.

Even if he is all of that there is no way he is worth Gordon, Tucker and draft picks.

Elite shooters are at a premium these days. Also he has never played with anyone remotely like Harden who will generates a billion open looks for him. As soon as harden touches the ball he generates an on ball double so that will give buddy more clean looks at any point of his career thus far

All of that still does not make him worth the package you proposed he is just not that great and his game is not that well rounded.

Gordon is a inconsistent shooter but he can still make a impact when he is cold and fits this team well.

I definitely don't think he is worth 24 million a year, I don't see him being the 2nd best player on a championship team, what has he done for Sacramento?

    That's my opinion.

I'm with Riko on this one. Also, saying he only has one 20ppg season means nothing when he has only been in the league a few years, and on one of poorest run teams in the league. Hield is as good as we can do right mow.

    now.

I understand the Rockets thinking. But the Rockets haven't truly multi-year tanked/rebuilt in decades. I mean they haven't even had 2 seasons in a row below .500 since they drafted Dream. Plus, in an era of super max contracts for elite players you have build out a roster with young cheap role players that you typically get in the latter half of the draft, and spend a few years developing. Having to swap back and get a few more pieces for the roster would not be a horrible thing in the long run.

    A few years?

He is going into year number 7.

Yes it means something especially considering he is not much of a playmaker or defensive player and only gets to the FT line about twice a game.

    We can do much better.

So if I put up Gordons 50 point game last year that means what?

Russ will have more then 22 points a season. I’m thinking 27 to 30 point range with 10-10
