2 guys with repaired achilles - what could go wrong?

The more I think about it, the more this roster makes perfect sense.

If you are a new GM and you are left with no draft capital, terrible contracts, and a disgruntled star who can't coexist with other stars, the only thing left to do is be a life-boat for stars who are coming off serious injury.

Those are the type of guys who will play with anyone, because they are grateful to be playing at all (Demarcus Cousins). In Wall's case, they are the type of guys who can be involved in deals for players with horrendous contracts (Westbrook).

Whether he could help it or not, Morey really hung Stone out to dry.

And if none of it works....Stone can say he tried and move on with a rebuild.

The problem with Achilles injuries is that it leaves you susceptible to other leg injuries. After Cousins ruptured his Achilles, he went on tear his quad with GSW then rip his ACL with Lakers.

Returning too soon could lead to further issues like what happened to Kobe, Elton Brand, etc. The upside is that Cousins, Wall and Nwaba all had this injury before 30. Younger people heal faster and better especially considering the advances in sports medicine and therapy.

And dont forget we also have Gerald Green coming off surgery for broken foot.

5 years ago, Wall and Cousins value would be at their highest.

No way we could have acquired both without giving up Harden.

I'd still like to see Tucker replaced in the starting lineup and another defensive wing. But I realize we've officially switched from contender to dark horse now, so I might as well be grateful for what we have. If only we had another 3-4 1st round picks/swaps that we didn't give away to get Westbrick...

 

I am really excited to see how this plays out.

 

all that's left now is to move Harden. Loved having him but I think it's time to say goodbye. Flip him while we still can.

Nah PJ just shows them the best pancake spots in each city. Side note, I read Harden opened a new restaurant in Houston, that is odd if you are requesting a trade while simultaneously opening a restaurant in Houston.

 

Harden can concentrate on his offense and no need to guard in small forward and power forward position.
Tucker can destroy Leborn and Kawaii.
Wall takes Cp3 role for assist.
Cousion grabs all the offensive rebounds to.protect the rims
Wood can match up with AD
Gordon can back to 6 man position

It is better get a Faried to play in regular in order to ensure Cousins and Wood healthy in playoff.
