I'll say it and get flamed probably but i don't care. If this was about Russ not wanting to play for Tillman because he supports a president who is a bigot and stokes racial tensions and refuses to except black lives matter and racial equality, then i respect that. and how unfortunate for the city of Houston to have that kind of owner. a truly diverse city.

i don't normally mix politics with sports but this isn't business as usual. you can't make money off black people and then support repressive and extreme anti-black political agendas.

this is coming from one of the biggest wb critics lol

Nobody who watches a lick of nba thinks john wall is a better player or even a good fit for this team. And thats before factoring in injury

Did the owner of the Wizards vote for Biden?

So far Stone has done a good job adding the pieces that were missing last season. Size and a true PG. It's not only about Wall being a better fit with Harden. It's about having 2 elite ballhandlers and being able to have 1 on the court at all times. Wall can create with the 2nd unit and play off the ball more with James on the 1st unit. Kinda like they did with CP3.

If healthy this team will be very successful. A very big if, but Wall has looked better than ever in workouts this offseason.

i'm just saying that politics is now a part of sports and that's because things are so bad and that it's part of owning a franchise. you are going to lose players if you don't support racial equality. clearly republicans don't. it's actually not debatable. and that's unfortunate.

I call BS on that. TF has been open with his support of Trump. It didn't just start this year. That info has always been out there.

It’s going to be hilarious watching Westbrook recoup all his value through (meaningless) regular season play, averaging a triple double, while Wall ends up being the post-Achilles bust everyone expects him to be — and the Rockets manage to, again, bail on a player at the nadir of their value and end up with an untradeable mess on the cap sheet. With nothing but a lottery-protected pick to show for it.

    Tilman ‘Cheap Dolan’ Fertitta.

I thought the CP3 for WB trade was a bad trade and didn't think WB was a good fit with Harden. WB was terrible in the playoffs and yes, the Rockets should trade him. But this trade alleviates none of the core problems caused by the WB addition, instead it kept those while adding new ones.

Don't know why people are claiming Wall will be a much better fit with Harden. Wall is essentially WB but more injury prone, haven't played in 2 seasons just as expensive and not as good.

When healthy, both are horrific shooters. Both need the ball in their hands. Both are terrible off ball. The problem of teams ignoring WB on the 3 point line will still exist with Wall. The problem with WB not having a role aside from taking up space when Harden has the ball will still exist. In fact it will be worst, since at the very least WB is a decent cutter, while Wall historically doesn't move off-ball. Defensively, both are capable of being good, but havent been since 2015. Neither are attentive off-ball or are good at getting over screens. WB was at least an excellent rebounder.

Here is Lowe on Wall when he was last healthy and playing back in 2018.

do u really believe russ would've played back to backs this season if he were on the rockets? and he's coming off of a quad injury from the playoffs this time is he not?? he's also ****ing nearly 33 yrs old... wtf are u trying to prove that russ is healthier? all u idiots argued russ is healthier than cp3 and then look at what happened... health isn't guaranteed and if anything russ's playstyle is more prone to injury. at least wall has above average bball iq to know he can adjust his game in ways russ can't. stop questioning poster's intelligence when others can say the same about you. we're all rockets fans here. nobody bats an eye when u constantly barrage the forums with your unrealistic trade proposals and spamming of wanting fringe nba players thinking they can make all the difference. love the passion but still... man cool off and realize that having russ on this team was more dentrimental than anything. it means a lot that harden and pj tucker were both playing with wall in the offseason whereas russ was nowhere to be seen.

Trump has done more for imprisoned young African -Americans by reducing jail time for petty drug offenses in 4 years than Biden has done in 47 yrs.

Oooff that’s not the kind of player you want in return, but Westbrook probably was going to cause trouble so Stone’s hand was forced. To be determined I guess...

Lol this had nothing to do with politics. Westbrook just wanted his triple doubles.

I think Westbrook played like garbage in the playoffs on purpose. That alone makes me think a bag of potatoes is better than him.
