I think tonight's game was a demoralizing loss. Shaq held to 7 pts and we still get routed. It was, in large part, due to the K-O-B-E, and their role players stepping up to hit some nice outside shots, but it was also because our PRIMARY option on offense couldn't do anything against someone twice his age and about 8 inches shorter than he. Granted, Malone is built like a rock, but that's where Yao's assortment of hooks and sweeping shots SHOULD have come into play. If Yao doesn't look into his shorts, fumble around, and find a pair, we're screwed.

I would really like for us to take them both and that is possible. However it a more realistic prediction is win the next and loose the 4th.

I have great confidence in the Rockets chances at home. They have a great opportunity to turn this series around. If they take care of business at home the pressure is back on the Lakers. Then we are talking about a whole new series. Remember the Rockets are suppose to win at home, and this is not a great Lakers team we're seeing here. For them to lose at home, to this old, hobbled, and confused Laker team, that would be a upset in my mind. Its just not going to happen. If there is one positve coming out of these two games, its that Lakers have many more weaknesses than maybe first thought. This series is far from over.

Sigh....I just hope they can make some noise with one win, seriously I can't expect anymore than that. Imagine what would've happened if Shaq didn't get the dunk in game 1.

Yao would've gotten the rebound, would've gotten fouled, made both, Kobe would come down and hit a 3, send it into O.T., and then win it in the 2nd OT with a trey at the buzzer.

    jk.

It'd be 1-1, going back to Htown for 2 more games. Could've realistically been 3-1, or 2-2, either way, we'd steal Homecourt from them.

I really have faith that they can win both at home, however we will need to put together a complete game.

Game 1 was the game we could have stolen from them on thier home court, Game 2 I had a bad feeling about, because of the horrid shooting on the Fakers part in game one.

I think the rockets have to have tunnel vison and not look back, just forward.

WE CAN AND WILL WIN THE NEXT TWO!:D

Im praying they win game 3 at least...just cause I'll be there. It really looks like we are playing like the only way we can win is by getting lucky. Why why why did game 1 have to be so close....such a teaser to what might have been

Rockets better win the next two games. I just can't believe the Lakers will get all the calls and all the luck. The Toyota Center better be Rocking. I don't want to see a reserve crowd but a Rowdy crowd at both games. BEAT LA, BEAT LA, BEAT LA!!!:D

LA held serve. And had a hard time at it. Now it's our turn to show 'em why they won't make it past the 1st round.

We got those 2 games out of our system - a nail-biter and a stinker. Now let's show 'em what we're made of!

I still believe we have a chance to make up some ground...Home court is a true home court in the playoffs...

I like the way we match up and should win Game 3 easy...

Lock this thread up. Down 2-0 and w/ SF wanting to do his thing and Yao has no upper body strength, Shaq and Kobe have their way in this series.

I think the Rockets will win the next two in Houston. The only reason we lost yesterday was lack of composure. The Rockets had turnover problems in Game 1, and they showed great improvement in that department. If we can learn to keep our confidence and composure when the chips are down, we'll be okay.

Cant you see this is where the problem comes in? Steve played the first half the way JVG wants things run Yao Mingt plays well,Rockets on top.
Second half Steve does his own thing , Yao Ming is hardly involved and Rockets go down the Tube. Great personal stats for Steve but his Team goes down 2-0.

It blows my mind how Steve can play so great and you still come in here and bash him. Yao was tired from about the second quarter on, he was taking cop out shots (fadeaways that are the equal to Steve's dribbling exhibition/jack it up shots) and on top of that they were not falling. We needed Steve to take over man, get it through your head, if Yao wants the ball and to take over the game he will, the only thing stopping him is himself.

I hope just for one game that you get what you want so we can debunk this theory of yours. Yao Ming can not and will not ever be a player who can lead a team when it counts. His body will hold him back along with his heart. Yao is 24 and already has a severe case of Sabonisitis, a special player when he is not about to die of exhaustion on the court which isn't often. But yeah pump it down to him, let's get him thirty shots, I'm all for it but when he's ten of thirty and needs to be on a respirator for a week afterwards don't say I didn't tell you so. Peace Homey.

My guess is that the Rockets will take the game coming up but will falter in the second due to over confidence...having said that with the rationale of a sports analyst, the Rockets fanatic in me says the Rockets will win both games at home and go on to win the series in 7 :p
