But yes, Mahomes is in a far better situation. I think his weapons outside of Kelce are a bit overrated, Mahomes elevates the play of others. Watson’s situation is underrated except for OB-he was terrible. Let Watson keep up what he’s doing, he might jump into that upper echelon.
And for the record, there is nothing I want more than for Watson to be in that tier. That means he can put a team on his back and carry them. I think he has the potential, his consistency is absolutely getting better. Now I just hope the Texans can build a team around him. That is something I have extreme doubts about. Not only for their incompetence but also because of Watson’s contract.

Top 4 QB right now. I’d put him above Brady, Tannehill, Big Ben and Murray. Mahomes Rodgers Wilson Watson We finally have an elite QB and our RB is overpaid, injured, and washed up. Our OL is inconsistent with below average interior. Our WRs were either traded, cut, suspended or injured. And the defense is the worst in team history. Ugh....
The RB will be gone next season. The OL will be better with BETTER coaching. WRs situation will play itself in the offseason. Defense needs a couple CBs and a safety. Again, stuff can done to fix it by the new GM.
Easterby, the other half responsible for trading DHop and many of the other bad decision making on this team, is still not fired and in a position of high authority in the Texans org.
