The plan is to run it back with Russ which I'm fully on board with. However if this plan is not successful early, then taking too long to pull trade trigger could jeopardize a great trade opportunity with Chicago and/or Orlando. https://tradenba.com/trade-machine ORL: Buddy Hield, Coby White, Thaddeus Young, Ben McLemore CHI: Russ Westbrook, Eric Gordon, Justin James SAC: Evan Fournier, Al-Farouq Aminu, Danuel House + Bulls FRP + Rockets FRP HOU: Otto Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Tomas Satoransky, Mo Bamba + Magic SRP + Kings SRP Harden/Shaq Harrison (vet min/portion MLE) Satoransky/Nwaba/Brown Porter/Tucker/Tate AG/Bruno/Devin Robinson (vet min) Wood/Cousins/Bamba
IF there is any way to do this deal it needs to happen quickly before the opportunity goes away. With leak of Westbrook wanting out to have “his” team then let him go if and only if we can net a return like this. (It’s his old coach) We have the opportunity to set ourselves up for success short and long term. PLUS if Harden wants to see the team be a true contender the front court doesn’t get any better & Gordon is already here to fill in Westbrook’s absence. Plus all the youngsters Stones has accumulated fit in well with this scenario, too.
After a bit of thought, I tweaked this lineup: 6'4 Shaq Harrison (27)/6'5 Nwaba (27)/BMac (27) 6'5 Harden (31)/6'7 Satoransky (29) 6'8 Porter (27)/6'5 Brown (25)/6'4 Tate (25) 6'8 AG (25)/6'5 Tucker (36)/6'9 Bruno (25) 6'10 Wood (25)/6'10 Cousins (30)/7'0 Bamba (22) That is a lethally long disruptive athletic lineup. A true 5 out offense and switch everything defense. Harden could also PnR with every starter. And every single starter can facillitate or create for themselves. It would be Show and Go Armageddon. For opposing teams.
Westbrook & Nwaba to Washington Wall, Troy Brown & Randle to Houston Gordon & 1st (from wizards) to New York Sign IT Wall/IT Harden/Mclemore/S.Brown/Tate Tucker/T.Brown/Green Wood/House/Wooten Cousins/Randle/Bruno
I think Tucker would have be added to Orlando to get Bamba in return & House (contract) is need for quality depth at both forward spots. I can’t keep up without a visual of some of the added adjustments. Eric Gordon is gone? I truly think EG is going to explode in positive ways if given a set role and expectations within a well controlled environment. He is a true 2 way player that can help a team win nightly. So if the return is not better than what was described then keep him.
https://tradenba.com/trade-machine 76ers: Buddy Hield, Thaddeus Young *Embiid, Simmons, Hield, Green, Young* Magic: Tobias Harris, Ben McLemore + Rockets FRP *Fultz/Cole, BMac/Ross, Tobias/Ennis, Okeke/Aminu, Vuc/Bamba* Kings: Fournier, House + Bulls FRP + 76ers FRP *Fox, Haliburton, Fournier, Barnes, Bagley* Bulls: Russ, EGo *Russ, Lavine, PWilliams, Markkanen, Carter* Rockets: Otto Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Tomas Satoransky, Matisse Thybulle + Bulls SRP + 76ers SRP Harden/Satoransky Thybulle/Nwaba/Brown OPJ/PJ/Tate AG/Bruno Wood/Cousins
Backup point guard yes. Center is not ideal as Wood is more of a PF, but we have to do with Cousins. A better SF would be ideal, House should start.
You’re realistic. Hopefully, Russ will play better and build up his trade value before the trading deadline.
I created a monster in the TradeMachine haha but a monster I would love. Like Sully from Monsters Inc. Anyway it doesn't REALLY work because of the new signings and whatnot and this would be more of a deadline trade, but here it goes. Rockets Out: Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, 1st round pick via Portland, 1st round pick via Detroit. Rockets it: Paul George, Derrick Rose, Delon Wright. Clippers Out: Paul George, Marcus Morris, Patrick Beverly, 2022 2nd round pick via Atlanta, 2023 second round pick via Portland. Clippers in: Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin. Detroit Out: Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Delon Wright. Detroit in: Eric Gordon, Marcus Morris, Patrick Beverly, 1st round pick via Portland, 1st round pick via Detroit, 2022 2nd round pick via Atlanta, 2023 2nd round pick via Portland. Rockets lineup: Rose/Delon Harden/Nwaba House/Stirling PG/Tucker Wood/Cousins Clipers lineup: Russ/Reggie? Kennard/Lou Kawhi/Mann Blake/? Serge/Zubac Detroit lineup: Hayes/Pat Gordon/Josh Jackson Sekou/Bey Grant/Morris Plumlee/Stewart Rockets bolster their bench, get a star next to Harden who better suits his playstyle and Rose next to Harden is the better 2nd ball handler option than Russ. Is Russ a better player than Rose? No doubt. But Roses game would mesh better as a smarter scorer and outside threat. Ok. Maths. If Paul Georges value is 100% and Russ' value is 75% that of PGs AND Blakes is 50% that of PGs. Than 125% is better than 100%. See. Quick maths. For real though, essentially trading PG, Bev (who can't be on the same team as Russ anyway), Morris and 2 2nds for Russ and Blake isn't a bad deal. At worst I think that come out at even value BUT Russ fills that playmaking guard need that we keep hearing about in the media. Detroit fill the cupboards back up with draft capital while also having an awesome mix of young and old guys, and vets who in a year or two could be a huge trade piece. The Pistons won't be winning anything soon. But they have a core of 2 guys under 20 years old. Also, Hayes is a stud. I'd say in the long run he'll be a top 5 guard coming out of the last few drafts (Luka, Trae, SGA, Hayes, Fox.. I'm probably forgetting someone). The other thing to this as pointed out a lot here is Detroit getting their pick back. What that means is that their firsts aren't tied up until 2027 (which is the last year it will convey), and they can trade their own future 1sts again. tl;dr Rockets win.
https://pippenainteasy.com/2020/12/...-to-make-at-the-start-of-training-camp/amp/1/ Chicago Bulls keep bringing up Otto Porter Jr., Tomas Satoransky, Thaddeus Young (and other players) in trade discussions. Russ trade involving Bulls and Magic makes too much sense especially because Bulls biggest area of need is a true "floor general" (Russ own words) because Coby White is more a "scoring guard" (Bulls FO words). Bulls>Russ, EGo Magic>Young, House + 2 FRP (Rockets & Bulls) Rockets>OBJ, AG, Satoransky + SnT for Shaq Harrison (Bulls get TPE, SRP, Chris Clemons) @ilias @ApacheWarrior @treyk3
Well it all works and I would go for it. Houston: AG / Tom Satoransky / O Porter x Magic: Thad Young / D House x Bulls: Westbrook / EGo https://tradenba.com/trades/NWY5IS_Gg And then the SnT of Harrison which would be separate. I’ve been calling for a team full of 6’7” players......and last season I got a bunch of 6’3” players. Now we are accumulating a bunch of 6’5” players. It’s not my 6’7” to 6’9” preference; but a few inches closer. So this trade you are proposing is more in my wheelhouse. Somewhere, I think Knicks accumulation of Bigs and our accumulation of guards is destined to comprise a trade this season......but I like your deal, now. *side note: remind me why Otto Porter only played 14 games last season?
