    Social media obsessed youth
Has it gone too far ? Are you telling your kids
Not to do dumb things for social media acceptance and false sense of accomplishment?

We had the tiktok Benadryl challenge which sent kids to the hospital
Now are they dumb enough to be influenced by jumping off bridges ?

out generation never fell off bridges when the coyote chased the road runner
Why are the youth so obsessed with cheap fame and thrills

Very possible this was a suicide attempt -- the road is around 70-75 feet and the top of the arch is about 165. He has zero clue what he's doing and just flails off -- a jump off the road takes some prep and can definitely kill you. I don't understand how he lived.

As long as he isn't hurting other people, I'm not bothered by it.

    This is America.

You can't tell people to wear masks.

You can't tell people not to jump off bridges.

Dude was only about 25 feet off the world record and flopped -- still can't believe he lived through that impact. Someone calculated it out to around 83 mph when he smacked the water.

Well there have been multiple cases where skydivers have survived parachute failure, so it happens.

So crazy fact, you’re worse of trying to land in the water at that height, it’s like hitting cement and then drowning when you fracture every bone. Those folks survive because they hit a bunch of trees or other things to break their fall, some on soft soil too.

I think most people who have died jumping that bridge were alive for a while after impact and drowned (like he would have without the boat). Lots of people jump at night and there are bad spots with shallow water near the sides plus the water is really chilly around 58-62 degrees. The side near the the overlook (opposite boat ramp) is quite a bit higher. I've never heard of anyone jumping from the arch -- that height is dangerous for elite jumpers who have prepared.

He said and I quote. “It is always worth it chasing your dreams”. What a dumb ass. We waste value resources during a pandemic to treat his ass.
