I was lmaoing so hard, dude was snoring face down on the canvas. You rarely see KO's that brutal in combat sports. Feel pretty bad for Nate but hey he signed up for it
He would have been fine if he learned how to box. Paul isn't good, but at least he had been training for a while. Whoever coached Robinson didn't teach him to defend himself or throw a jab.
As a baller he was explosive but had T rex arms IMO. You need at least decent reach to box and duck for cover. I am just a once in a decade watcher of that sport.
Jake Paul looks like a Amateur Boxer. Nate Robinson has Zero Idea of How to Box. No Defense, Doesn't Block Punches, by putting his arms up. Legs are spread out, only defense is locking arms, because he can't handle this Fighter. Nate watches boxers, but he never paid any attention to detail. Getting Knocked Out 4 Times is Embarrassing.
This big victory should move Jake close to a title shot and/ or another PPV main event fight against elite competition.
Snoop Dogg was commentating for the fight. When he was singing gospel songs when Nate went down...I WAS CRACKING UP. Savage.
It was Jake Paul, his brother. He weighed in at 8 pounds heavier than Nate so it wasn't about the size difference. Clearly Nate didn't know how to box whatsoever and kept charging head first into punches instead of keeping his gloves up and fighting like he'd ever trained for boxing before. This was sad to watch, but still entertaining and a cautionary tale for people who think that just being a great athlete makes you a good fighter.
Actually it kind of happens once or twice every Saturday on the UFC fight nights / PPVs. I don’t think I’ve watched one that didn’t have at least one out cold KO, but I watch the undercards and everything. What made me feel bad for Nate is that he was clearly KOd twice before finally going out cold the 3rd time. The ref clearly wanted Nate to keep going even though Nate didn’t want to, ref counted to 10 and Nate started looking back to his corner, refused to give the ref both of his gloves, that was really bad on the ref for not seeing he didn’t want to continue but was too prideful to say so.
