I finally bought a sous vide, probably not the most exciting thing to buy on Black Friday, but....well, it's a thing.
Nice. I just did a sous vide prime rib roast the other day. I think I'll reheat the leftovers and make a sandwich or something out of it.
Best turkey I ever had was cooked with a Sous Vide. Korean style BBQ ribs too. Did a dry aged steak with one too.
The one I got is called "KitchenBoss", I know nothing about it but it had pretty good ratings on Amazon and it looks a lot like the Anova.
Search the hangout for "sous vide" Several of us have gone a bit goofy with recipes and trial and error stuff
Pshh. I still use my kettle like crazy, but the propane grill was just for when I was too lazy to start the coals.
After the sous vide bath you gotta put it on the heat for a few minutes. Why build a fire or smoke up the kitchen when you have a gas grill outside? That's all I'm saying.
