High hopes for Wood. Has all the tools to be a great compliment to James and Russ. Hope he brings that same focus and drive that earned him this contract.

As much as I liked Robert Cummington, I think Wood has much more potential and gives the Rockets something we didn’t have last year, A 6’10” guy that can take lobs from Harden and Westbrook. This dude gets to the room with is because of his linked. It also gives us some men in the inside to protect the rim and all the easy layups against bigger teams. Not to mention, I don’t think he’s reached his full potential at only 25 years old. Covington is 29 and pretty much reached his ceiling as an NBA player... good but not elite. Plus, SF’s in the NBA are easier to come by than big versatile players like Wood that can play inside or out on the perimeter.
