Eh. It's debatable. I think the median iq for newer generations is probably higher than previous generations.

if some dude in the village drew a cartoon of someone they aren't suppose to draw, only the villagers who saw the drawing knows that
now if some dude 5000 miles away draws a cartoon, technology has sent the information to millions of people

instead of 100 people wanting to kill the cartoonist, you have millions

 

I agree that the internet has created a bullhorn for idiots and psychopaths.

 

Average IQ is indeed rising, but I think the internet and media have made ppl more prone to falling for conspiracies.

IQ value itself and having a good education imo don't make someone "intelligent" in the traditional term, many highly educated ppl are absolute buffoons when it comes to separating utter nonsense from facts and are quick to trust bs sources without doing any critical thinking.

Hakeem when I was in Houston would occasionally provides supplemental lectures in the mosque (5-10 minutes speech after sermon/prayer ) , from theological point of view , he is well versed , highly knowledgeable, devoted, he became a better person, on a long list of what i like about him , he does mind his own business, he has not requested the Rockets to ban alcohol, cover up the cheerleaders or tune down music to attend, even when fans show up late, Les did not seem overly concerned of his safety

Bizarre fact, there were radicalized teenage Caucasian females from Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland etc. who just turned to Islam and travelled to the Caliphate in Syria.

They expected to fight the Holy War but in reality were used as baby generating machines, had like 3-5 straight babies in the first years.

Females banned and forbidden to join the fight.

 

Heard about that a lot, and in many cases they come back and only get sentenced to 2-3 years in jail.
Many of em were ready to fight there, held slaves and supported ISIS logistically.
