Booooooy, aint that the truth. Lol, this will only work if this coach is as good as this board thinks he is.
PJ is still under contract. Also, they did sign a dude named Christian Wood who is a playable center.
This is why Wood and Cousins can and should both be on floor together. Even with just Russ. The only concern is the defense.
Don't see any downside taking a no-risk flier, nice pickup. I honestly don't have any expectations given his injuries the last few years, but he's so skilled why not give it a shot. If healthy he'd be a huge pickup.
WTH I've never seen a player that big regularly do a two-dribble drive from the 3pt line and dunk. Over and over again! (Yes, I know other 7 footers like KD and Giannis do that, but Boogie is BIG.) I had no idea that attacking the closeout to dunk was such a big part of his arsenal. On the face-up, he just shakes people and once he gets past the first defender, usually the opposing, big, there's only a guard left to defend the basket and he dunks on small dudes easy. If he plays w Harden and Russ, he will get MANY chances to attack an out-of-position defense. I know we may not be getting him healthy, but honestly if he's half this good and hits 35% from 3, that's awesome.
I don't follow the rest of the NBA much- can someone tell me why it didn't work out with Cousins and AD in New Orleans? Both can hit from the outside, both can pass.
Totally worth the risk. We’ll see which version of Cousins we get. The last couple of Rockets games I saw against him on the Warriors were interesting. First game, he was slow, terrible on defense and almost unplayable. Second game he totally destroyed us. Definitely high upside here.
He tore his achilles during the Houston game and was out the remainder of the season. NO offered him I think 2 years, $40 million and he refused it and went to the Warriors for much less. He was hoping to restart his career and get another big payday before getting injured again.
