As opposed to getting destroyed in the first round like Portland? One fluke run to the WCF doesn't allow for weak trash talking on the Rockets. Oh, and when/if you get to the WCF try to actually win a game.
Blazers probably would not even get past through the Rockets if Harden/Russ stays forget passing through the Lakers.
Well those guys signed after I posted this message lol. All those guys you mentioned btw aren’t huge impact players. None are stars. They might be ok or good complimentary pieces. They have the same core. The problem with that team I see throughout the years is lack of a true number 2 star. McCollum is good but he is a fringe player and his game is very much like EG’s. One of those almost star guys on the cusp. This team has had the same core for a while but can’t somehow put it together. They are an interesting team no doubt.
Portland seems pretty cool to be honest. Not really into predictions of a basketball season at this point outside of the Rockets as I'm not that informed on other team's marginal players and it's a silly school yard path to go down, but none the less, cool city. No qualms with Portland.
I’ll never understand how ppl really take the time out to create an account and log into another team’s forum to post, comment and obviously troll. This world is filled with some weird folks.
The Blazers will have the same problem they have long had, their backcourt defensively is hideous and will not improve because of physical limitations. Lillard is a horrendous defender and McCollum is worse. Carmelo Anthony is at best passable defensively. The Blazers have added a few wing defenders but they are poor offensively. They will be a little better defensively with Covington as long as they limit him from having to cover the perimeter too often. Primarily Covington is a good post defender and weak side defender. If the Blazers are going to make a rapid improvement they will need someone like Collins or Trent to make a major step forward or they move McCollum for a really tough defender.
Lillard defensively has always been what the world thinks Harden is, just without mad asians to make a cherry picked youtube video.
Lillard is one of the worst defenders in the league, year after year, according to pretty much every defensive stat out there.
Lillard is good but he is a step below Lebron, Curry and Kawhi. So no no Chip. It’s about that simple. You either have the most elite top 5 talent or you lose in the playoffs. Welcome to the NBA.
What's weird about commenting on NBA teams on an NBA forum? It's called NBA dish. Shouldn't you only peruse the Rockets forum?
This is actually very true. Harden has improved tremendously on D, while Lillard never has. But for some reason nobody talks about it.
