This is purely a guess, but I believe in the background we actually are trying to move Westbrook.

Westbrook has been legitimately connected to the Knicks, Hornets, Magic and Wizards. Lots of smoke. Question is what is our price.

I didn’t read your post cause it was meaningless
To the Knicks vs Rockets debate
The Rockets can have no harden or Westbrook and be better than the Knicks

Russell Westbrook is a career loser whose legacy was finally cemented by this decision to choose stats on a bottom-feeder over an inside-straight opportunity to contend for a title. The book has closed on him, and the stats don't lie when they say that his contribution to winning has been much overstated and likely more of a detraction from the winning ways of Durant and Harden whose coat-tails he tugged on.

All water under the bridge now, but this report also states like many have suggested that Westbrook mainly wanted out of Houston because he knew through conversations with Harden about concerns about the franchise that he was going to leave much like KD and Paul George before him.

People who were mad at him back then or still are now need to get over it. How could you blame him? I appreciate the fire he showed, he just doesn’t know how to win effectively, so while I’m happy he’s gone, I appreciate that he did try.
