Stinks not having money and watching Bobby Portis (go for peanuts), Augustin ($7M) and Jeff Green (go for nothing).

Obviously a moot point now with Hayward going to the Hornets but with Oladipo reportedly wanting out that would leave them thin at guard. Their potential depth at SF would be Hayward/Warren/Lamb. I felt like it made sense to give them Gordon to play between Brogdon and Hayward

    Knicks - EG + picks
    Pacers - Julius Randle
    Rockets - Myles Turner

    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y4j6ltw9

The trade works. Randle would be a much better fit next to Sabonis and he's on a shorter deal. Knicks want to move from Randle. They get veteran guard help plus picks. Rockets get Turner. Could also swap McLemore for TJ McConnell if the pacers agreed. It would even out their roster a bit with Aaron holiday getting the back up PG minutes.

horford has $80M+ owed, went for a first and a second round pick, and the sixers got green in return.

ego has ~$70M owed, give the thunder the portland first and a second, and take back George Hill.

that allows us to use the TMLE and still be under the tax apron.

    EG+House for Bamba+Aminu+Iwundu

This is if Wood can play SF (or even PF)

    Could run
    Bamba
    Wood/Aminu
    Tucker/Nwaba
    Harden/Iwundu
    WB

    or Bamba
    Tucker
    Wood
    Harden
    WB

Need to get at least one really good 3 point shooter, 2 would be nice.

    Wood is a C, not a SF.

Eric Gordon + 2 FRP for SNT of Bogdan Bogdanovic SNT at 4 years 72 Million.

    I'm speaking it into existence.

    He's still on the board.

The Kings are willing to trade him. We saw that with the botched deal.

Maybe a third team like the Knicks or the Hawks (they are considered Bogdan's likely landing spot but maybe Gordon fits with what they are doing, lots of wings strange to want anyone else tbh those rookies eventually have to get paid) with space take Gordon for a FRP and the Kings trade Bogdan to us for a FRP.

    Russ
    Harden / McLeMore
    Bogdan/Tate/ Nwaba
    Tucker / House
    Wood

That's a pretty solid starting place. We'd have the same cap as now (basically minimum money for signings) but Bogdan does something that Gordon hasn't quite been able to do and that's run the offense. He lessens the need for a back up PG as you have three guys in the starting lineup who can be staggered for rest in Harden, Russ and Bogdan.

He's 6-6, so he's a bit undersized for the SF but he is the same height as House with a longer wingspan (6-11 or 7foot depending on who you ask)

This move probably gets Harden to sign an extension as it proves that Stone is willing to be aggressive and it proves that Tilman will spend to win.

Wow. Now that’s what I’m talking about! Smart thinking. Unfortunately, I think if Stone had thought of that before the Horford thing happened it probably could have gotten done (*with Danny not Hill)
Not sure OKC doing both contracts.

Now you can even shuffle this around a bit because we finally have a center now. Give Allen to Orlando, take LeVert away, etc.

I'm not sure if they want to take on another contract like that either. but I think presti has a price for everything. just a matter if rockets can afford it with the picks they have.

    FWIW:

    horford $81M - green $15.5M = $65.7M that presti took on for a pick and a second

gordon $54.6M (final year is NG) - hill $19.6 (2yrs remaining) = $35M additional salary

so again, if presti was willing to take on an additional $65M for a first late first and a second, I'm sure he'd take a mid first from Portland for $35M in added salary. in short we offer more draft capital while asking to shed less salary compared to the horford trade.

    Clippers In:
    Russell Westbrook
    Reggie Bullock
    Dennis Smith Jr.

    Why? To make Kawhi happy.

    Pistons In:
    Patrick Beverley
    Danuel House

Why? Get two gritty Detroit style players that can immediately impact the team. Beverley is a great guy to guide the young players they are currently bringing in. Rose isn’t going to stick around so they might as well get some value for him now and ship him somewhere he has a chance to win.

    Knicks In:
    Eric Gordon
    Mfiondu Kabengele
    Future 1st - Houston

    Why?
They have a logjam at point guard and the team needs shooting desperately. Gordon is a strong veteran than can help guide some of these young guards they are building around. All this while getting a first round pick.

    Rockets In:
    Paul George
    Derrick Rose
    Mitchell Robinson

Why? The Rockets move disgruntled Westbrook and get a strong return. Paul George will be a solid defender and scoring option next to Harden. Derrick Rose is a solid point guard and a very respected player around the league. They also pickup Robinson who adds big man depth. On top of all this, they clear up $15.4M in cap space. This will allow them to fill out the roster with solid role players instead of the bottom of the barrel guys they may have to otherwise.

Sign: Cousins, Batum, Tate, Tyler Johnson

    Rose/Johnson/Queen
    Harden/McLemore /Tate
    George/Batum/Martin
    Wood/ Tucker/ Wooten
    Cousins/ Robinson

I like adding another competent shooter and ball-handler with size to the team. I think he would flourish working with Harden, but I'd almost rather run him as the 6th man to give us some punch off the bench.
