We were really wanting Dedmon for awhile, but then he got picked up at 3 year/$40 M by Sacramento. He has played like garbage there, traded to Detroit and just got stretched. If we can pick him up, then we will have 2 guys over 7’ who can rim roll and hit 3s. Should be low risk- high reward with the way he has been playing. I don’t think we can afford to pass him up.

This makes too much sense for it to happen.

That's a great cheap pickup imo.

    Who's the 2nd 7 footer?

7-4 wingspan, great D effort to go along with 3ball (which he lost for some reason with Kings).

But I hope Rockets still try to sign young players like Harry Giles too.

Love it. Probably the best backup 5 we could hope for. And since he’s getting stretched, we can probably get him for no more than the minimum.

No one is saying pay him more than the vets minimum to play a backup. If no other decent 5 is available, it's a viable choice.

    Replace JAM with Harkless.

    Or Bobby Portis.

Whoever is willing to play for vet min.

His skill set would be perfect here. Could play alongside Wood as well. I always thought he was undervalued

Can we trade Eric for him and send Tyson and house for him?

    Tyson is FA.

Dedmon is also FA, he was stretched by Pistons.

Rockets only need to pay him about vet min because he will be paid bulk of salary by Pistons.

Oh cool I didn’t know. Been in Twitter all day and most of what I heard was about wood and other players but not Demon. That sounds better then.

Can we still trade Gordon and House somewhere for someone better though?! :)

If we could get Dedmon on a min deal - that would be a steal!
