    why is everyone so excited about Wood? I can't say I have ever seen him play before, so I don't know anything about him. But from watching highlights on Youtube, he reminds me of Clint Capela with his pick and roll. And he seems to be able to shoot from 3. What else does he bring to the table?

    Considering how much Bertans and Grant got, I still think Wood at $14M is a steal. I have no clue where the Rockets' cap sits right now, though.

    oh for sure this is a huge gambit. But I rather see them risk it all than to have done nothing like in the summer of 2018 when we clearly needed a replacement for Luc and Ariza.

    Capela isn’t a good comparison. They really aren’t very much alike. Wood is much more skilled, but not as good defensively. Wood is still a work in progress. He has all the tools to be an all-star, but he’s nowhere close to being a finished product yet. People need to be patient, he still has some work to do, but could be a really nice fit here.
