Interesting point. I think couple of factors that maybe be the difference is that wall is completely reliant on explosiveness whereas durant has length to create advantages. Second, if Durants game drops a bit he will be at a healthy wall level l, if walls game drops, he will be borderline star

"The Rockets were the sixth-ranked defense in the seeding games, ranking second before the blowout loss while resting through much of the final game."

"Through five games, Rockets rank No. 1 in NBA in playoff defense"

    etc.

If you had paid attention to the Rockets this year, it is no secret that defense was actually a strength. It was the erratic, 17th ranked offense that doomed us, among other indiscretions.

True, though the good thing about Wall is that we have some solid footage of him planting and dunking and exploding without a brace or anything.

Initially i wanted to be a smartass and claim small sample size. But thats not really fair. From the eye test, i assure you i have seen every single one of the Rockets game last season, we were an easily exploitable defensive team. But i guess the eye test doesn't tell you the whole story.

Anyhow if we were a top 5 defensive team after the arrival of Lord Covington then our success was due to him and the defensive scheme we put together.

The always switch small ball defense plays to Harden's advantage. Its a smart way to mask his defensive deficiency. His strength is in his quick hand and strong body that allows him to contest shots against bigger foes. His weakness is his reluctance to move his feet on the perimeter. I've said it all along, Harden is a Power Forward in the modern NBA, he's not a guard.

Rockets need to try this deal and get it all hammered out.

    Russ and Tucker
    For
Wall, T.Bryant and two unprotected 1st rounders

Not worth a new thread, but...

On their post draft show, Bill Simmons said he heard an East team was interested in getting Westbrook.

    NYK just cleared $40MM today...

@KellyUnchained saying (i think in his latest podcast, i can't listen to it now but i read a tibit about it in a site) Bryant is/can be a piece discussed in the trade.

Him and Troy Brown are both guys i'd like to get if they pull the trigger on this trade, they're good, young and cheap. They would instantly cover two big holes we have, center and small forward.
