Yea... I was hoping it was part of a bigger deal. I really like Dedmon especially at the price. Looks like Detroit is keeping him with the news Thon is becoming a free agent.... If the Rockets go after Thon Maker that might just about be the final straw for me lol

I would like to see a 4 team deal, with incoming players revolving around:

Houston: Simmons, Jarret Allen, filler, multiple picks

    Brooklyn: Harden

Philly: Aaron Gordon, Mo Mamba, filler

    Orlando: Dinwiddie, LeVert, Prince, pick

    Thoughts?

I have lost faith in the process. To many narratives and moving parts. I am simply lost. I watched the draft and thought the 16th pick was ours and liked the out come. I was happy. Thought Stone did a great job then realize reality. I’m a Rockets fan from the fetal position with the hope counseling will make everything better. What and why? I just don’t get it. Maybe something happens tomorrow and all is well. Till then, dazed and confused. #Bewilderment

Trade Machine says Magic had to cut an additional 9 plus mil so I added Fultz to Houston.

All three teams have their 2021 FRP. Not sure how the picks would work.
Simmons out Gordon/Bamba in is pretty fair
Brooklyn trading away good, not great role players across the board for James is where all the picks would come but again my issue here is their picks for the next five years are gonna be 17-28 barring major injuries to stars or star feuds.
Maybe Orlando and Brooklyn could work something out where Houston could get the Orlando FRP and 2021 and 2022 FRPs from Brooklyn too.

I could stomach this trade. (replace Fultz if you want)

lmao why would Philly help Brooklyn get Harden?

Only way they trade Simmons is if they get a superstar in return. Morey would hang up laughing at this.

Come on, Simmons for Gordon and Mamba? That's a insulting offer.

Because Harden may ultimately prefer Brooklyn over Philly if given the choice by Houston, and they can form their own new big three of Embiid, Gordon, and Harris as a consultation prize.

This trade also doesn't exist in a vacuum. When I say filler and picks, that could mean a lot of different things depending on the scenarios, expirings for future cap relief, created trade exceptions, etc. I definitely think you're underestimating Gordon, he's a young star in this league also.

If you wouldn't take Simmons, Allen, and multiple first round picks for Harden at this point, you're going to be disappointed.

I would take that deal in a heartbeat, Philly would block your number for even offering this proposal.

SnT for Christian Wood. 4 years $40 million

Trade Westbrook to Washington for Wall and a 1st

That puts our cap at $125 million. The apron is $138.9, with 5 more spots we have to fill.

We still have our full NTMLE and BAE. Using the full NTMLE isn’t practical but splitting it up among multiple players actually makes a lot of sense.

4 year partially guaranteed deal for KJ Martin using a portion of the MLE
4 year partially guaranteed deal for Jae’Shawn Tate using a portion of the MLE.

That gets us $126.8 million. 3 more spots to fill. About $12 million under the apron.

    Needs: PG, PF, Center

Sign JaMychal Green to a 3 year $21 million deal using the remaining MLE

Sign Taj Gibson to a 1 year minimum deal

Gerald Green signed to a 1 year minimum deal

    Wall / Gordon
    Harden / McLemore / G Green
    House / Nwaba
    Tucker / J Green
    Wood / Gibson

    Non-rotation: Clemons, Martin, Tate

Total Salary: $137M total, and $1.9M below the apron. Enough room for another minimum deal later in the season.

    Sixers: HARDEN, TUCKER

    ATL: Tobias

HOUSTON: SIMMONS, Deandre Hunter, Tyrese Maxey, zaire Smith, Matisse Thybulle
    Atlanta 2021 first
    Sixers 2021, 2023, 2025, 2027
    Pick swaps 2022, 2024

    our team

    RUSS/maxey
    Gordon/Zaire
    Matisse/House/Hunter
    Simmons/Hunter/KMJ
    Wood/ KMJ

that’s still a bottom playoff team in 2020. But you’d have to think come trade deadline we can get a huge offer for Russ if he’s averaging 30/10/10 and Gordon is averaging 20 ppg

Is Demarcus Cousins close to a return?
    Noticed he's still not signed.
Assuming we want to keep Westbrook and Harden, I would think pairing them with Cousins and another serviceable big would do wonders.

They would want to keep maxey and I’m fine with that.

We just have to trade Russ if we do harden. Can’t afford Russ to get hurt plus we would just be delaying the inevitable.
