My draft takeaway: Stone doesn't suck.

Tilman still does, though, and he controls what Stone can and can't do, so we're still f%$ked.

We may blow it up with Harden still on the train.

    We'll see...
If they acquire someone like Ibaka or Wood then maybe they're trying to convince him to stay...

but if ur just jettisoning assets (Roco, Ariza, 16th pick...) and only really getting payroll relief and future assets... that tells me they've already conceded the season and looking to the future... and yer not just gonna waste a year of Harden while trying to rebuild...

i wouldnt be surprised if they've already accepted they are losing Harden and are just trying to hold out for the best package possible...

    ...imo...

Yeah, I saw a few of those. But keep in mind, that's against some high school kids. His highest level of competition is high school and then IMG Academy. Well, technically Sierra Canyon is a basketball powerhouse, too. I think Pippen's kid played with him there. The hopeful thing about drafting straight out of places like Montverde, IMG, etc. is that there is so much talent on teams like that, many times they'll have to equalize the minutes played or the plays run for a lot of different kids, so standout kids don't get to stand out quite as much. I was surprised they were this high on Kenyon, but I guess that athleticism, the potential, and the workout(s) really got to them that late in the draft, but this kid is still learning how to play basketball. He's probably going to be spending time down in the Valley, so it could be a reason to follow RGV this year. :D

Can you two decide who you are talking about being his father? His shooting form definitely reminds me of Kevin Martin, but the man's name is Kenyon Martin Junior. I'm confused by this mix up.

That is what Kevin Martin wants you to believe.

Absolutely, he was yammin' on these poor little guys. I kinda felt for them...

Still he's got major physical upside and is very compact. That will definitely help defensively without a doubt. His length may be a concern but we just lost RoCo who has immense wingspan compared to KJ, yet he consistently failed to keep up with smaller guys due to his lack of foot speed... I'm excited to watch KJ and Trevelin (another fiery dunker) explode onto the scene in the Valley. ;)

Tilman may be petty enough to hang on to Harden one extra year out of spite.

Little known fact, his biological father is Kevin Martin, but he was raised by Kenyon Martin.

possible Tilly could do an Al Davis/Marcus Allen thing... but i think he's too cheap to waste a year of Hardens salary... lol

He's prolly counting on Harden to protest and sit out so he doesn't have to pay him.

yeh... i wouldnt take that bet...

i dont think Harden would have any problem dogging it and playing in a lackadaisical fashion while cashing that paycheck.. lol

In the meantime, Rockets got even shorter.

Not just less wingspan but our tallest starter is 6'6.

    Russ-6'3
    EGo-6'3
    Harden-6'5
    House-6'6
    Tucker-6'5

    Its laughable.

Other than Clint Capela, players Rockets developed under Morey:

    Carl Landry
    Aaron Brooks
    Kyle Lowry
    Goran Dragic
    Chandler Parsons
    Terrence Jones
    Domantas Motiejunas
    Danuel House

    I'm sure I've forgotten a few.

I don't think we start the season like that, but we'll see.

I do have a lot of hope with Silas. I think he was the right choice by a mile even if Harden and Westbrook aint down.

Who would have thought the 52nd pick in the draft wasn't a hot take.
